Whatever

Top of the line bamman, this guy.

his "it is no measure of good health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society" quote is a famous one.

deep
I like listening to his videos, but just a few minutes, then I get benefit. More than that I am back where I start

YouTube 1.0 really had great stuff now videos all gone but basically anyone related to theosophy and Annie Besant is a British imperial project

Apparently something special was seen in this guy as a young kid ; his education was sponsored and they wanted to groom him like a world maitreya figure but he chose another path (YT influencer)

To be fair, did hold back one tidbit.

Some years later the Beatles did apologize for bailing out on him like they did.
Hmm but I am sure Beatles had nothing to do with osho!
maharishi mahesh (he doesn't deserve this title)was a money grubbing fraud and as per the controversy made sexual advances towards many of his female students , there's a reason his ashram lies in ruins
Osho was on a different league ,there wasn't any sexual controversy about him
I used to have the collected works of this guy:

Maybe you yourself are a rationalist! His work is nothing but pure logic
Forty two years ago, a group of Hari Krishna's knocked on my door. Invited them in and we discussed religion. They gave me a copy of each book they had on them.

Winter break, back at home, unpacked them and began reading. My parents nearly had a stroke thinking I joined a cult. LOL!
It's funny 🤣 🤣,how did they respond?

Interesting, I had no idea about his Britification origins story.

Your dirty mind exposed !

Minds, you see, see what they want to see :D

They were very very nice when I said they can come into my dorm room. (I needed a break from studying for the exams anyways).
The hari Krishnas are mostly based in the west, and are pretty much the only ones who go around proselytizing.

Hindus/dharmis generally don't go around doing that.

ISKON folk, I mean. There are plenty of Krishna devotees in India, the Vaishnavites.

The origin of this quote being assigned to Krishnamurti is probably a book written by Mark Vonnegut (Kurt Vonnegut’s son) about his mental illness (The Eden Express: A Memoir of Insanity). The book was published in 1975 and attributes this phrase to Krishnamurti, without giving any source. Vonnegut might have paraphrased or misquoted it, and it must have spread from there.

Aldous Huxley, a close friend of Krishnamurti’s, also wrote a passage that is similar, contained in his book Brave New World Revisited (1958):

good friend of Huxley ! .. interesting.
