Motorinvest, the official distributor of Dongfeng passenger cars in Russia, and Avtotor signed an agreement on production of the first batch of Dongfeng Sokon (DFSK) cars at the plant in Kaliningrad. According to the parties' statement, under the agreement Avtotor will produce a batch of DFSK cars by order of Motorinvest, which will be represented by two models: a coupe-crossover DFSK ix5 and a seven-seat all-wheel drive crossover DFSK ix7.
The models will complete the line-up of the DFSK family of cars on the Russian market, which is currently represented by the seven-seat crossover DFSK 580. As part of the cooperation, Motorinvest undertakes to distribute, sell, provide after-sales, technical and warranty service for the produced vehicles, as well as supply spare parts/details for Russian customers. As previously reported by AUTOSTAT, Motorinvest will expand the Dongfeng model range in the Russian market.
In 2024, 8 new models will appear on sale at official dealers of the brand. Thus, in addition to the Shine Max business sedan, the Aeolus range will be supplemented by three new models: these are mid-size crossovers Aeolus AX7 and Aeolus Mage, as well as a full-size premium crossover Aeolus Huge with a brutal appearance.

“According to the law, if we work with an official representative of a company that produces a specific product, for example, a car, this person has no right to refuse warranty service to the buyer. But in this case, everything is complicated by the fact that, according to the documents, the manufacturing company does not officially sell any car to the buyer! And he did not even import it into the territory of the Russian Federation. “This was done by some third party,” he explained.

Moreover, if the car was purchased from the dealer and the buyer does not know that it was imported through parallel import, he can file a lawsuit against the dealer in case of refusal of warranty service.
