I may be wrong but my gut feeling is that India will launch army attack from Jammu region for the following reasons.

- This region is close to both heartlands and political and military nerves center of Pakistan.

- India would not make a very large scale movement of its force but concentrated and larg firepower to make ingress of few kilometers under cold start / proactive defence strategy

- A pivot corp of India Army as per cold start doctrine is already deployed in Jammu Region from few years and also had conducted number of offensive exercise.

- If a limited battle is to be fought under nuclear threshold of Pakistan where Pakistan could not use tactical nukes then Jammu region is ideal as it touches Working boundery and LOC both and right next to the Northern Punjab region of Pakistan

- Now Jammu is a Hindu majority region therefore it will be more secure (in terms of intelligence for India)

- India has suspended the flow of water through the Baglihar and & Salal Dam and making Chenab river dry which will help the movements of pivot corp of India to enter either towards Head Marala, Sialkot to disturb and destruction the irrigation infrastructure of Northern Punjab or it could move towards west to target other important infrastructure.

- Armoured and mechanized units which are integral part of pivot corp could be used in Jammu and potohar region of Pakistan
