Pakistan is in no doubt a tough spot and I kinda feel sorry for the people who have to make the decision on whether to retaliate and if yes, to what magnitude. (even though thats their job and they have trained for it all their life).

They not only have to think of our retaliation but also calculate Banyaland's retaliation to that retaliation. After all, we cannot make the same mistake which we think they did - assuming that they can strike and we will take it lying down.

I am more and more inclined to believe that India has planned something bigger, given how disproportionate their response is to the attack in Kashmir. Firing across LOC is one thing, missile strikes inside Pakistan proper that has caused actual casualties is quite another. Its nothing but an act of war.

I find it hard to believe that they can overestimate themselves or underestimate Pakistan to the point where they think they are Israel and Pakistan is Lebanon.

India took 14 days to attack Pakistan so in that context we will have to give them little more time. A weak perhaps. But meanwhile, it is evident that India is now in no mode of de-escalation despite some hint earlier. So why is that? Certainly, they have realized how big thrashing IAF took and now they want to score some points. This drone frenzy is part of it. It has 2 objectives in my humble opinion.
1. Hit some AD unit and declare it a successful SEAD op by IAF to restore morale.
2. Lure PAF into a trap inside Indian air space.

So far, no big success in either point but Indians would not stop and we must not surprised if they have some intel help from zionist friends.

Now challenge for Pakistan is to stop these smaller but more frequent attacks on one hand, and do some to deter India strategically.

So what are the options

-Pakistan certainly can't kill civilians. It will provide India more propaganda material.
- Pakistan must degrade India's fighting ability. Best way is to hit their stock piles of Himmers, SCALPs, Brahmos, Harop UAVs etc or take out couple of units of S-400s and then be ready for next escalation cycle for which Pakistan needs to prepare within this weak or so and next time response must be simultaneously.

A lot of numbers are being circulated here and all other social media regarding the number of indian jets shot and engaged. My take..
So far IAF is maintaining an unprecedented silence over the whole thing. Even media and "reliable" experts like shiv aroor and Abhijit Iyer are not disclosing anything except some cryptic quotes. So it's obvious that some upset has happened.
*I was watching the whole thing in real time. By 4:00 IST some folks here posted about Indian jets begin getting crashed/ shot. Then news quoting some " defence officials" came on pakistani channels. This was picked by other international media and a circular quoting chain started.
In india "Hindu" was the first to came with the story of 3 jets shot/ crashed. But the image was of some discarded Fuel tank outside a school in Indian Kashmir. No source was given. Later on the tweet was deleted and apology released.

Now The Hindu being a well known MSM this post got wide coverage . All other media houses made this one the base of their reports.

Meanwhile PDF and other pakistani media was going wild over the numbers. 3-4-5-6 jets + UAV were claimed to be shot.
I witnessed All types of real/ fake/edited images in those few hours.
It was a wild night.
Now so far the only "credible" reported incident is from Bhatinda.
Even there no official update has came so far.
The mystery of Bhatinda is further compounded by the distance between the crash site and IB. It's not possible that any jet shot near the IB or in pakistani air space can fly till the crash site. The PAF jet has to enter Indian Space to shoot it. This is something denied by both sides.
My hunch is that the Jet got damaged due to pakistani AA fire / or technical malfunction during the attack and tried to return to base but got crashed 20 km away from Bhatinda Air Base.
Or worse it was shot by own AA.
If any PAF jet was involed in the shooting then they must be having Gun camera or other proof. So far nothing has came out.

How I see is,

They only face saving for India is that we attacked the terrorist sites (as per India as they were open Mosques in the middle of residential areas, surrounded by civilians) and then we returned. In this process 3 or whatever the number of jets were crashed but we did not hit them back as we didn't want to escalate the matter into war.

Other than that, it was a complete embarrassment for India and I foresee many ranked officers being fired very soon.

Pakistanis are happy they shot down Indian planes, Indians are happy they hit targets across the IB and created a new normal, everyone seems satisfied. Is this what a 'win-win' looks like in South Asia?

Exactly ! Indians are satisfied about the "revenge". For the majority The deep strike at will is not a small feat. They are also not extremely worried about the loss. The loss is being taken as something which happens in such attacks.

There is still time before india launch full fledged war. Take me to china. Let me talk to ccp directly. I will negotiate some kind of deal. We can still save this country. Our government and people in armed forces aren’t capable to persuade Chinese to send their soldiers etc. let me talk to them. I sensed danger. Who will stop full fledged war?
