This whole episode is just psyche and internal consumption. Absolutely nothing as far as military objectives go

Where and how exactly will India carryout naval blockade of China?

First, naval blockade is an act of war. That means China will be within its right to retaliate in whatever manner it pleases.

Second, India doesn't have the capacity to do that.

Third, if you mean closing of Malacca Strait, then the ASEAN states - especially Indonesia - and Asia Pacific would be at India's throat. Say goodbye to Indo-Pacific strategy and India's role in it.

Fourth, if they block Pakistani seaports, it will be all bets off. Arabian sea will become no go area. Trade to and from Strait of Hormuz will be disrupted, India's own oil supply included. Supply of arms from Western routes can also be slowed down (at best) for India if Pakistan plays its hands right, while China will be able provide supplies to Pakistan through air and land.

Fifth, I will start thinking nuclear.

Sixth, China doesn't need sea route to put military pressure on India. All it would need to do is suspend agreements on LOAC and move its combat assets - aircraft, tanks, artillery, etc, - to Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh.

You are the perfect example of why I write about specific things as I do. The Indians have adopted a western way of war while you and others are still cling to business as usual. Not attacking their cities (full of investments and Hindus), and laughing at every single serious point made by sensible Pakistanis who are lucky to live amongst non Pakistani to see how warfare is actually conducted.

I will reiterate what I said regarding the "rock and a hard place" sitution.
Pakistan has been doing its BEST - to provide a de-escalation ladder to the Indians but for the first time in the history of two nations - it is India that is acting in the irrational "who cares about tomorrow" way Pakistan used to with Kargil and other times.


Now only is targeting mainland Pakistan leaving no choice but to escalate but at the same time it is leading to a situation where world powers are asking Pakistan to take unilateral "drawdown" with little assurances to anything on India.

So the mood is changing slowly to ok - if it is existential warfare then fine - let's do it - let's wipe each other out and at the end of it all. The issue here isnt so much whether Pakistan will retaliate but rather the form 47 government in power is cowering away and even the ones who brought them in are regretting it.

I repeat - IK is a total bufoon - but at least the nation would stand behind him and he would go on right now on national TV and make a blustering statement and you would have everyone on the ground not care for Harops or Brahmos - all it takes is the right match to a spark - and that match for all intents and purposes is a national leader which the Sharifs will never be.

I agree if its all out war which mean nuclear weapons then Imran Khan should be released. As nothing else will be left after that anyway.

Amusingly, even if it did, Peshawar would have been in as much ruin as Kabul. If anything Afghanistan should have joined Pakistan instead, would have saved them so many lost decades.

Honestly, the establishment should understand that we’re at the point now that a full fledged war with the nuclear threshold in sight is now a non-zero probability and rising fast. National unity and consensus is the need of the hour, we can’t expect anything from the international community, and only limited support from allies.

When the wolf is at the door, you need family united. Although this isn’t the place for politics, now is the perfect time to simply release IK, tell all the PTM to stfu. Tell everyone to dump their politics till this is over, and then a reset will happen.

I fear, even if they agree, they are probably all too occupied with imminent war to set the house in order, the best time to do this was before.
