Whatever

Surely this is a glitch in the matrix.

How on earth might I have stumbled upon the elixir of unbanned ?

Bunch of your warning points were given at the same time and expired at the same time just now.

Rest is realising that not every bit of thought that passes in your head needs to be typed out here ....and to heed soft warnings and just stay within the rules.

9 times out of 10 I have observed you can't help but indulge yourself when you could have just passed those things by. Then you miss out on good positive stuff during your infraction period.

Try use a heavier filter and inertia for the head - hand - keyboard process. :p

In brutal terms, if you have nothing to say, shut up.

Divine piece of music.

This is considered one of the most copied pieces of music in Western music. Even the Fab Four found inspiration from it to Let It Be.

Yes "let it be" is C major, but similar chord progression as found in pachelbel. i.e reference point changes but note/chord distance and sequencing similar.

The underlying chord progression is very popular and pleasing to the ear. I've mentioned the 12 bar blues a number of times as well here (its a chord progression, the chord key can be selected anywhere).

But keeping everything key and progression same (D major and the progression in pachelbel), the particular song I was referencing from my high school days used the very popular:

D A Bm G

Which is basically shortened pachelbel canon D heh (D A Bm F#m G D G A)

You see, one of our best rock bands (we had about 3 in total) in HS would often be practicing in music room of 1st floor, if you were in that vicinity but just far enough away, you could hear just the bass line, of "with or without you"...

That was the song they would be practising pretty much all year one year or two... to get perfect. That wonderful sound (D A Bm G) always has resonated within me since alongside the greater flourish of it in Pachelbel's masterpiece.

Rearrange it just a bit to A Bm D G and you get another great U2 hit, though it starts a bit more enigmatically (i.e is this maybe A major?):

you only resolve the key is D-major in the middle of the song main message (referencing Noah's ark and much else).... when the E minor chord finally kicks in.

D major is indeed a thing of great beauty when employed well....and yes U2 is one of my favourite bands of all time too heh.

What instrument(s) do you play, @Nilgiri ? Strings, keys, brass ?

I noodle on regular 6 string guitars sometimes, got a couple of electrics and an acoustic, none of them very fancy ones, plugged into a DAC plugged into the PC and software emulations + sequencer (FL Studio) zindabad.

Amplitube 5 is free, you get a couple of heads, cabs and pedals for free and to keep for all eternity, the rest of their quite vast catalogue of other goodies are free and unrestricted for a few days (72 hours) after which they'll have that white noise interruption thing making them basically unusable.

Great bit of software kit, that.. I'll probably end up purchasing a couple of Mesa Boogies for the heavy stuff and maybe an Orange for a more all rounder type sound.

Thank you for trying to help with public safety.

I fondly remember the times I would look out my window and see Murree glistening in the sun after a night of heavy fresh snow. Malka-i-Kohsar indeed, at least back in those days.

FOR THE FOOL WHO MADE FUN OF WATER CAR ENGINEER:

This Soviet car ran on WATER!
In 1976, an experimental Moskvich-412 was seen being driven on the streets of Soviet Kharkov, which ran on water instead of gasoline. This amazing car was created by specialists at the local Institute of Machine Building Problems.
The Moskvich-412 was equipped with a mini-reactor filled with energy-accumulating substances (EAS). Water entered into a chemical reaction with them, as a result of which hydrogen was produced. This served as fuel for the engine.
Later, the reactor was installed in the ‘Zhiguli’ and ‘Volga’ models. However, they were never put into mass production. Among the possible reasons for the project's cancellation were too high consumption of EAB, as well as the problematic use of such vehicles in the harsh Russian winter.
