it's bad timing since they are already waiting for the US response

I understand being very afraid of war with USA but I am not sure why so afraid of war with Israel, Israel is 1400-2000km away from major Iranian cities and they don't have air tanker fleet or navy carrier fleet like USA, they can do damage for sure but I doubt they can threaten IRI existence or substantially degrade Iranian assets within Iran

Maybe lack of confidence in missiles to penetrate Israeli ABM shield. Once Israel/USA know Iranian missiles cannot penetrate ABM shield with much success, Iranian deterrence (if any is left) will go to rock bottom and Israel will feel emboldened to strike inside Iran instead of Syria

ideal response is against IDF soldiers deployed close to Iranian borders but despite what some others say, that isn't possible because IDF soldiers are not deployed outside of Israel. they are deployed covertly and not in uniform, but if Iran can find IDF presence in a base in Azerbaijan, it would be a perfect target

A wider conflict is best avoided. It will not be good for anyone.
