The Brahmos were effective for the IAF and IA against Pakistan forward airbases, no doubt. Intercepting a hypersonic missile is always going to be difficult. Despite last night Indian attack on 3 Pakistani bases, the bases were still functional. And thats when Banyan ul Marsoon operation started.

Next, Pakistan attacked a number of Indian bases and installations with Fatah 1/2 which were very much effective.

Then came the C400 against the S400.

The next ladder was Ra’ad against Indians deeper into their territory.

Then would have been the Babars (LACM, ACM) and then true BM options.

You don’t show all your cards to the enemy in your first retaliation. The fact that your enemy knows you have those options, is enough.

In the heat of battle, with self survival taking precedence, one would have let some targets go. And there would have been many other factors at play too, like getting a lock does not automatically mean the pilots go trigger happy.

Remember, PAF was in a defensive posture on that day, and IAF looking for openings to strike. Imagine how difficult it would have been. And yet, PAF came out with 5 kills (3 confirmed by The Hindu and video evidences).

Bro, there is no limit to having tactics, considering PAF’s history. Same conversation took place in this forum in 2019 when we caught Abhinandan and some members were not happy as to why PAF did not go for a knock out punch.

Its all good to have a constructive criticism, but tell me, prior to the air battle, would you have been happy if someone was to say PAF downed 5 Indian jets.

Even after all this, the PAF went on a daring mission deep inside India to take out the S400s.

Just because you have them doesn't mean you have to use them every chance you get. If the trust wasn't there we wouldn't have spent millions to develop, build, and then maintain them.

That's circumstantial. It makes no sense that Pakistan would hide this after already dropping 5 Indian aircraft and bombing the heck out of 10/11 Indian military installations. At the very least, they would claim the air kill, which they haven't.

Pakistan haven't claimed a lot more what it did during the operation BES.
