POST WAR assessment of recent conflict.

Beyond the threat of escalation and the usual economic matters, why Fatah 1 only?

Purely strategic / tactical question.

How's the land carrier thing work?
With being underground you can have multiple exists and tunnels can go for miles, which negates the impact of strikes.
Basically same as sea carriers similar number of aircrafts ready any moment for action and heavily protected from areal threats, i think you already use something like that otherwise i do not see how else you would manage to scramble dozens of your own fighters to fend off numerically superior force and inflict loses to them.

I'll have to look it up. I believe it's more mobile hangers and jets taken off from which runway they can.

First question I want to start with why did we not see stocks of cruise missiles used?

Because Pakistani Cruise missiles are treated as strategic systems and are used for nuclear delivery (Pakistani military has advertised it as such many times) so using strategic systems will be very high up on the escalation ladder and can be easily misinterpreted.

Its the same reason why India didn't use any Surface to Surface Ballistic Missiles and limited itself to the likes of Brahmos (which it explicitly states aren't for nuclear delivery) because doing so would be very high up on the escalation ladder and can be easily misinterpreted.

Honestly everything did well. Except for one.

Air Defence failed overall. I get that our air bases are closer to the border overall but life is not fair and preparations have to be made accordingly.

Either increase the number and variety of air defence units, or start building underground/mountain air bases, or do both. Sargodha at least should not have taken any hits.

In Bholari why weren't all personnel in trenches/bunkers when they knew other bases have been struck?

We also need something better than the CM-400 for our JF-17s. Longer range and faster flying.

Ukraine and Israel have good air defence but they cant stop the missiles

stopping drones and missiles is almost impossible all the time

Houthis managed to hit right in the middle of Ben Gurion Airport

air defence is expensive and that money is better spent on Air Force

build under ground facilities like Iran if you want 100% guarantees

we will end up spending a lot of money and that money should be given to the air force

we could get HQ-19 but that unit is close to $500 million

for that price we can raise another squadron of JF-7 Block 3

Pakistan is not that rich unfortunately

Any other examples anwhere near how one airforce dominated the other in this war? Total turkey shoot😉😂

Just talked tp my friend in Pakistan. I think we have appreciation for Brahmos due to its speed and unstoppable kinetic force........ We need a counter which we didnt pay that much attention earlier...

I have been saying this for the past 4 years about the underground/mountain air bases. People used to laugh at me when I said it.

Understand the Pakistan’s forward airbases are close to the border which are at risk of enemy’s strikes.

In addition, Pakistan has air bases towards the West. Hence, is there a need to add more bases in remote parts of Balochistan, KP, Gilgit Baltistan?

There's going to be a lot of ifs when it comes to PAF... What if Pakistan's F-16 fleet were all block 52s (block 52's are not considered as advanced when compared to Rafail) how much worse would IAF performed? No doubt Pakistan has the better pilots by far and are the jewel of Pakistan's military I just hope the deal with Orange man is to upgrade PAF F-16 fleet to V standard.
How many F-16 do we have? 75?

Army has already done 9/10 on Chinese SAM , expand network

Perhaps more Turkish SAM to Supplement Chinese (Low-Med-High) Systems

Few more Turkish , Akinc (Drones ) , can Air to Air Pakistani SAM be placed on these ? Hypothetical question . Can K-8 have small air to air missiles ? for Hunting the smaller drones ?

May be CWIS like system for Land or Mobile Truck
We need to go over our air defenses with an eye towards the munitions India is likely to use, and not so much the Jets. Loitering munitions will only increase and we need relatively simple AA guns linked to modern AESA radars and EO/IR systems as well as anti-drone drones to knock them out. All modestly priced but highly effective, as Ukraine has shown. The Turks, in NATO, can brief us on what nato has found worked and didn’t work in Ukraine.

We need full air field level dispersal capabilities on all our motorways. Ammo and fuel dumps, engineering equipment, etc. all hidden throughout the country; the Swedish/Swiss style.

Btw, a Perun video just dropped on the Pakistani military strategy. He is one of the best at analysis on the big picture:

Idk how well Subsonic Cruise missiles would do these days. Especially over flat terrain where they can't use mountains and the geography to hide. Maybe in a saturation attack it can get through. Perhaps they felt other platforms were better suitable for what they wanted to do, like the fatah 2 ballistic missile.

Yes that's the best way to use them.

Only if you aquire twin seated long endurance stealth aircrafts, once the birds are in air they need time do the job and if you wish to broaden your offensive options with those stealth airplanes against targets deeper in enemy teritory and need safer location then yes build it but it is expensive and cherry on top of the cream, i would keep insisting on enhancing density, sweetness and texture of cream for while, so use your limited money on doctrine that you mastered to enhance, once with stronger economy go for it.
