"Karachi" Bakery attack in India by Hindutva fanatics
One point the fanatics don't understand is the Bakery existed pre-partition , and city names don't change often. So Karachi still exist
The Bakery celebrates a joint past
Unsure why there would be an issue ?
We have
British Era buildings in Pakistan Government maintains it as historical sites
- Railway is symbol of British Empire
- Empress Market is symbol of Busy Market place in Karachi
- Pakistanis do accept that British era is part of our history
- Polo , Cricket are legacy of British Era
- Independence came thru British Era Political process
We have
Turkish Era , Bathing centers in Palace location , being renovated and displayed for historical purpose, Gift to regional leaders
We have
Persian Language Heritage sites , as Persian was quite common in Lahore area , I did not knew how extensively Persian was used in Pakistan even in early days of Pakistan
Shalimar Bagh (Shalimar Bagh) I believe celebrates the Garden culture of Persians heritage , there is architectural similarities
The
Islamabad mosque is connection to
Istanbul Mosque
Just because after Partition Pakistan-Bangladesh(East Pakistan) , and India formed it does not mean they can't still celebrate past regional history
Partition was meant to create
"Administrative Separation" , not necessarily a separation of
People to People relation
In modern Times with
Hindutva Fanatic mindset , it seems they don't believe in
People to People relation
- They don't see anyone else accept their own needs
- They tend to bully folks with opposing views
- Often the bullying is one in form of Mob violence
If in Pakistan someone bought
Bombay Biryani Masala and cooked Biryani , no one would have any issue except , if it is served with cold Cola drink with ice
We often hear about Dish called
Bihari Kabab in Pakistani hotels
I don't think anyone has any issue with the name, even knowing Bihar is in India
