Aid Agencies in Gaza

As of May 14, 2025, the World Food Programme (WFP) has depleted its food stocks in Gaza and is no longer able to provide food assistance. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has also run out of food supplies and is not currently providing food to Palestinians in Gaza. Other major aid organizations are refusing to cooperate with a new U.S.-proposed plan for aid distribution, which they consider to be in violation of humanitarian principles. Therefore, there is currently no major aid agency providing food to Palestinians in Gaza.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including severe food insecurity and mass starvation, remains dire due to ongoing conflict, blockade restrictions, and limited aid access. Here are key recent developments:

  1. UN Warnings (2024) – The UN and aid agencies report that over 2.2 million people face acute food insecurity, with famine-like conditions in northern Gaza. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) warns of imminent famine if hostilities and aid barriers persist.
  2. Aid Obstructions – Despite international pressure, aid delivery remains insufficient due to military operations, border closures, and logistical challenges. Israel has faced criticism for restricting shipments, though it blames Hamas for diversion and UN inefficiencies.
  3. Malnutrition & Deaths – Hospitals report soaring child malnutrition rates, with some deaths from starvation-related complications. The WHO highlights collapsing health services, making treatment nearly impossible in many areas.
  4. Ceasefire & Aid Efforts – Temporary ceasefires (e.g., Qatari/Egyptian-brokered deals) have allowed sporadic aid, but sustained access is lacking. The US and others have airdropped aid and proposed a maritime corridor, but these are stopgap measures.
  5. ICJ Ruling (Jan 2024) – The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to prevent acts of genocide, including ensuring humanitarian aid. Compliance remains disputed.
How to Help: Donate to UNRWA, WFP, or NGOs like UNICEF and Médecins Sans Frontières, though some face funding freezes over allegations (e.g., UNRWA staff ties to Hamas).

The situation in Gaza is dire, with a growing risk of famine and mass starvation due to the ongoing blockade. Here are the latest developments:

  • Food Insecurity and Malnutrition: The entire population of 2.1 million people in Gaza faces severe food shortages, with nearly half a million in a catastrophic situation of hunger and starvation. Three-quarters of the population are at “Emergency” or “Catastrophic” levels of food deprivation, the worst two levels of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) scale[1][3].
  • Child Mortalities and Malnutrition: Since the aid blockade began in March 2025, 57 children have reportedly died from malnutrition effects. It is estimated that nearly 71,000 children under five could be acutely malnourished over the next eleven months if conditions persist[1][2].
  • International Response: The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the situation is deteriorating rapidly, with people already starving and dying. The UN has condemned the blockade, describing it as a weaponization of aid[2][4].
  • Proposed Solutions: There is a US-backed plan to allow food distribution through a private charity, with Israeli military control over access. However, the UN has criticized this plan as it violates humanitarian principles of impartiality and neutrality[2].

The situation in Gaza has been dire, with reports indicating severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies due to ongoing conflict and blockades. Humanitarian organizations have raised alarms about the potential for mass starvation, emphasizing the urgent need for aid access and relief efforts. Efforts to negotiate ceasefires and facilitate humanitarian assistance have been ongoing, but the situation remains critical. Many civilians are facing extreme difficulties as a result of the ongoing hostilities. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking reputable news sources or official humanitarian organizations.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is rapidly escalating, with a severe risk of mass starvation. Over 2 million people face acute food insecurity, with famine-like conditions reported in northern Gaza. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) warns of imminent famine if the current situation persists.

The blockade and ongoing conflict severely restrict aid delivery, despite international pressure. While temporary ceasefires have allowed sporadic aid, sustained access remains critically lacking. Hospitals are overwhelmed, reporting soaring child malnutrition rates and deaths from starvation-related complications. The UN has condemned the blockade, calling it a “weaponization of aid,” and the International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to prevent acts of genocide, including ensuring humanitarian aid, though compliance remains disputed. Proposed solutions, such as a US-backed plan for private charity-led distribution under Israeli military control, have been criticized for violating humanitarian principles. The situation is dire and requires immediate and sustained humanitarian intervention.

you know I sometimes wonder

why did the West do this why> for Israel ?

they threw away decades and probably centuries worth of development and normalisation

everything they had worked for and represented is gone, the international world order

they basically did what we had thought but would never happen

they old us they were the civilised ones who built the modern world

they told us they were pedestal of freedom and democracy

all gone the mask is off and its never going back on

Muslim countries must create a joint task force and intervene directly in Palestine.

This enemy of humanity needs to be executed in the Hague to make the world a safer place
Sunni world is too busy making Trillion $ deals with the U.S (who finance the Zionists) without leveraging a dime in support for the people of Palestine. They have proven that they would rather aid the U.S in defending Israel from attacks from Iran and Yemen rather than help them fight the Genocide of Palestinians. The People in the Sunni world must first stand up and overthrow their U.S puppet regimes before there can be any real talk creating a joint task force to defeat the Zionists. Sunnis have proven over the last 19 months that they are not interested in risking their own lives for the lives of the Palestinians. The Only time Sunnis have been willing to commit to Jihad has been to destroy Anti imperialist governments like Libya and Syria and replacing them with Pro U.S/Zionist lackeys like JEWlani!!!

It makes sense when you understand why Hezbollah signed the peace deal in the first place- it's national situation because Israel was bombing all over Lebanon to punish hezbollah for attacking israel to support Gaza had gotten too serious and bad for it. Its just hezbollah's bad luck that it's in a precarious situation domestically at home, which reduces the strategic space and time it needs to wear down Israel (its also giving it the punishments it deserves).

This is false. Hezbollah paused fighting israel because that was the necessary thing it had to go in the complex environment and context and situation it found itself in. Why did Israel sign a peace deal with Hezbollah then if it defeated it already? Hezbollah and israel CONSENTED to the leace deal they signed with each other.

Ok

Violating the ceasefire fire...aka cheating.....because Israel can't achieve military goals in Lebanon without first " silencing" Hezbollah.

That's false again- are you so simple to think hezbollah's silence means it's defeated? It fired strong and har

Is Trump really anti war or just anti wars that democrats started?

He fired missiles into Syria and assassinated Soleimani in Iraq in his 1st term and then entered an intense but short war with Yemen in his current term...he is not anti war!
Hezbollah regardless of its short comings at least tried to fight to take the pressure off of Palestinians and it has paid a heavy price for it. What have the Sunnis in the region done to help the Palestinians except for some for donating some food (for show) that the Israelis don't even let into Gaza. Don't even make me laugh with those Pathetic air drops that the King of Jordan was doing dropping crates of food into the Mediterranean sea only for weak from hunger young Palestinians to swim out and drown trying to get at them for their families.

Something Satanic/Cult related that we aren't really aware about. Allah is greater than them and the best of planners. We have to help Gaza in the meantime.

Israeli delegation in Qatar is not there to negotiate a ceasefire. Sources say US is not putting any pressure on Israel to come to an agreement.

Israel will press on with a vile and evil systemic assault on already devastated Gaza.

Which now requires activists and regional/global powers to increase efforts to fend off the terrorist assault on Gaza.
