I think here you actually misunderestimate India's main perceived influence and power, is the number of eyes and ears prominent media personalities can reach


Therefore, it seemed correct for Iran to lodge some form of dismay at the comment, fairly malicious about a pig and Iran, said in English. I mean that then suggests this sort of comment can become the new w normal.

It's hard to believe, who could have seen this happening two years ago. However, it's arguably the biggest medium to long-term headache, and of course Indians would love nothing more than to redirect battle hardened Taliban types to Pakistan. That I imagine would be a delicious scenario for India.


The one interesting development, I suppose, is that the whole pretense of supporting terrorist groups and a human rights based approach to international relations is out of the window, it's all about naked unreconstructed power projection
