BUT he is going out of his way, such as in this clip, to engage with and even praise Pakistan and we have to welcome that.

Maybe, maybe not. After decades of very comfortably beating up on Pakistan, a simple one-liner, should that balance it out?

There now clearly seems to be a broad consensus in the west, from their most respected media channels, that India is perhaps not so useful

It could also be the case that, modi time is up for the West, and maybe it's time for the Congress again? Who knows, however in reality Pakistan is just the shortcut hack to insight Indians very quickly and easily

It is obvious that Trump is going out of his way to praise Pakistan. He doesn't have to but he is. Perhaps his attempt to force India to accept trade deals / weapons purchases is the real reason but no denying that since his speech to the US Congress some months ago, American companies showing interest in Pakistan's mineral sector, and the US Involvement in The 100 Hours War, there is a change in the American stance toward Pakistan, at least as of now.
There is a reason Trump has become so hated in India these days.
