Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

And to that, I'd add the positive role Saudi Arabia has played in not only defusing the tensions between India and Pakistan but also acting as a bridge to Washington. It was obvious that MBS looked very joyous when Trump brought up the ceasefire between India and Pakistan during Trump's speech in Riyadh just a few days ago.
The Saudis have deep trade interests with India but that's the extent of the relationship but they have civilizational ties with Pakistan and they know India's treachery, two-face during the Israel-Gaza conflict.
I think the Saudis and the Brits have been given the role to engage with Pakistan as both countries know Pakistan better than Washington does.
All these are NOT good news for Modi.
I'd like to add the fact that the indians were starting to annoy the big powers around the world, so they used this conflict to "cut to size" to india.
There is no way Washington or London, would ever tolerate india trying to throw its weight and tantrums around. Hence they cut it to size.
There will never again, be any indian hegemony, ever. Its been burried. The only thing they can ever do now is a nuclear war and mutual destruction.....

How I see it:
1. India lost perhaps a few aircrafts (unconfirmed) but lets go with the assumption
2. Pakistan (in particular citizens) lost pride - can't imagine missiles raining down on major cities and airbases and not feeling helpless
3. Long-term problem of Kashmir probably center stage but will go in the background as time passes - perhaps 6-9 months max.
4. On the other hand, India put IWT in abeyance and can control Pakistan in long-term

Net net - India won this round. Balakot wasn't a victory for India, bit of a egg on face tbh. But this one was as clear as night and day

Pretty conclusive...
One this high on copium can go without food and water.

I have great respect for Houthi stance on Gaza and literally painting themselves as targets... they were never a global power, never boasted such claims... don't even have a state or a true military, a militia in essence. Here is what Pakistan did...
* Relegated the state of India, self proclaimed global power, a pole, into glorified Houthis!!!
* Even the rhetoric changed to one similar to militias making such launches and joyous on ones that got through the Air defenses.
* Kashmir has just catapulted back into international limelight. Both China and Pakistan, the only states that border Kashmir do not recognize those lines in the sand. I think India hopes that it dies down because I think I'm beginning to see a solution here.
* Water is one more reason to take the matter seriously as congruent geological and geographical landscapes naturally form a state, shared ethnicity, culture and religion.

I think India just got it handed... but like always, it will slowly creep on you and rest of India.

He cant move past his hate of the establishment and has weaponised everything for that regardless of context or substance or value. He is not objective source for anything anymore.

Not to divert the attention from the topic but I think I should explain myself a bit here: When in early 90s I graduated from the University of Karachi, we fresh graduates had year-books to write our opinion on various topics. In one of those books, I recorded my thoughts. They were in the Questions/Answers format. And one of the questions was 'Who do you hate most?'. I answered 'Pakistani Army Generals'. That document is still there in Karachi. But my opinion of the Pakistani military has changed a lot since then. Maybe it was the darkness of the General Zia ul Haq's Martial Law era, which we were barely coming from which influenced my thoughts in the early 90s.

My point being: I know that the Establishment needs to go back to the barracks but I ALSO know that the Pakistani military is the first, the last, and the only line of defense against a powerful, mortal enemy present in India and I also know there are many Nadaan Dosts who are unwittingly working with Indians to destroy that vital line of defense of Pakistan for their very narrow political goals.

Coward Army can't even defend Arunachal Pradesh and they are dreaming of taking more land from Pakistan.

I am really starting to like Rabia Akhtar! I don't know much about her but I think she and Moeed Yusuf (the former NSA), along with Hussain Haqqani make a great online team to defend Pakistan.
"Rabia" is my mother's name!
She is a prominent Pakistani think tanker, father was also in the air force, and she looks like she is really working hard to create a positive influence.

Her inputs during the most heated moments, I personally found were gold dust.

I clearly spend too much time listening and following these things tanker guys, but I also glean the most insight from them

lol, those guys are going to be ranked number 1 when all this is done.

But look at it another way it’s conditioning Chinese against India; the power of media.

It's even spreading to the Chinese elders.......LMAO!!!
All of China will be singing this soon.....

If IAF was effectively grounded post May 5/6 encounter, how did they launch SCALP/Brahmos against the airbases on May 10? Were all Brahmos launched SSMs?
SIr, grounded means no operationally mission capable flying, IAF flew atleast 300km away effectively - grounded or we can turn in fleet in being!

SCALP launches on 9-10 May is curious case, it will open pandora Box!

i will not go on!
and say in who fired it
what went down?
was it a 3rd rafale?
who was flying it?
where did it went down?

to launch SCALP any IAF jet needs to come really close to really low. afterwards cant escape.

after all our AVM did say its 0-6.

May be on 6-7 May Battle it was 2 x Rafale, 1 x Mirage 2000, 1 x Su-30MKI and 1 x MiG-29UPG with 1 x IAI HERON TP (HQ9 Kill)

after 10-May Brief it become 3 x Rafales, 1 x Mirage 2000, 1 x Su-30MKI , 1 x MiG-29UPG and 1 x IAI Heron TP.

very speculative indeed. since DG ISPR put the ball in court of India regarding (those who know!) let them come and answer in due time.

just think of Moral at Golden arrows No.17 Sqn!

My Salute. We love every Pakistani who is solidly standing in support of the motherland. We hate those who offer even a conditional support. We declare those bustards as our sworn enemy who directly or indirectly support the enemies of Pakistan.

Agreed. I also think using same platform again might not be as good as round 1. But growler like systems might work well. I dont think india going to be same now and will attack in saturated manner and might use airforce in chinese theatre now.
But Chinese opposition will be 10x to what they got from PAF. And Cheens won't be restrainin. They will go full throttle beserk on their dirty asses.
