I think it is a combination. China has zero combat experience. Most of its realistic military exercises are with Pakistan. Pakistan has been able to impart the netcentric combat concepts courtesy Red Flag/ Anatolian Eagle and China has built the infrastructure and has the technical know how.


I believe PLAAF has had one other exercise with RTAF tgat flew Gripen/Erieye vs J10A and allegedly Gripens beat the anot out of them.

Wonder how accurate this is.

From a strictly technical perspective. Is it really that much down to the operator in this case? I cannot imagine India cannot buy any technology that we can. EW, AWACS, and so on.

What exactly is the technical challenge here for them that they get beat everytime in this domain?

Great question.

Is it the diversity of their platforms, or is it just plain not knowing how to do military things

Or is it a deeper capability cover that only the Chinese have
 
Tejas fighters were no show in the air war between Pakistan and India earlier this month. Started in 1983, first flight in 2001, first Tejas was inducted in IAF in 2016 and by 2025 less than 40 inducted. Tejas is the best Indian project which provides multigenerational employment and will go on for another generation without achieving its goals. Indians ridiculed JF-17 but it took part in air battle and fired PL-15E missiles at Indian targets.

While it is understandable and fine that we celebrate our AF victory, I hope we are spending 10x as much time on countering BrahMos, both defensively and offensively.

India has learned from this last war and will focus their next attack on missile salvos not airforce.

Correct, thats what the Russians resorted to in Ukraine since early days of the war caused their air force to be blown out of the sky. Russians also used some ingenuity in using glide bombs, which are very difficult to intercept. Pakistan should look into that as missiles can take a v long time to develop.

The Tejas v JF-17 debate is well settled now , in favor of the JF-17. Pakistan's choice of collaboration versus Indian desire for extreme indigenousness proved correct. I remember Indian fools making fun of JF-17 as a "paintjob" around 10 years back.
