I remember a college conversation some time ago with a Mexican American, who was trying to be more Catholic than the Pope, and claimed to me that America never lost in Vietnam because America didnt lose any territory! He probably didnt know about South Vietnam.
Maybe you are not as knowledgeable about the Vietnam War as you think you do.

Whats more fascinating is that the Vietnam war was based on the Domino theory, that if Vietnam fell to Communist, rest of the region would do the same. The theory was disproven but then decades later, it was back in play and cited as a rationale for Dubya's attack on Iraq, that if Iraq became a democracy, it would lead to entire region becoming democratic! Again proven wrong.
What if the Domino Theory was proven correct by one of Asia's most prominent leaders?

Why did US SOLDIERS use the AK-47 in the Vietnam War? (They DIDN’T WANT to use the M-16!)

Good day gentlemen

As discussed in post#13, about maintaining the lead of that war for non-religious humanity, how we see our current stands on that non-religious land, the Vietnam?
Russia/SU is always present with full strength. The presence by India and China is being increased in Vietnam 🕳️

People hope that we would be able to answer some questions, and we see that today's world won't be more prosperous than those times of 70s, we now see. 🙂

The movie "Universal Soldiers" was involving those Americans who went against then establishment of US, and we welcome those Americans -westeners in this war for non-religious humanity, as per the movie "the Universal Soldiers" too 👍

There is this ancient thing call 'book' and the plural is 'books'. Much knowledge are in books prior to the age of the internet. It takes manual labor to use a 'book', then it takes even more intellectual energy to contemplate what are inside a 'book'.

First, China was waging a racist war campaign throughout Asia during the Cold War, as testified by Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew.

Chapter 37

Deng Xiaoping's China

The Malaysians must be suspicious of Deng. There were underlying suspicions and animosity between Malay Muslims and Chinese in Malaysia, and between Indonesians and their ethnic Chinese. Because China was exporting revolution to Southeast Asia, my Asean neighbors wanted Singapore to rally with them, not against the Soviet Union, but against China.

Asean governments regarded radio broadcasts from China appealing directly to their ethnic Chinese as dangerous subversion. Deng listened silently. He had never seen it this light: China, a big foreign power, going over the governments of the region to subvert their citizens. I said it was most unlikely that Asean countries would respond positively to his proposal for a united front against the Soviet Union and Vietnam and suggested that we discuss on how to resolve this problem. Then I paused.

Deng's expression and body language registered consternation. He knew that I had spoken the truth. Abruptly, he asked, "What do you want me to do?" I was astonished. I had never met a communist leader who was prepared to depart from his brief when confronted with reality, much less ask what I wanted him to do. I had expected him to brush my points aside as Premier Hua Guofeng had done in Beijing in 1976 when I pressed him over the inconsistency of China's supporting the Malayan Communist Party to foment revolution in Singapore, not Malaya. Hua had answered with bluster, "I do not know the details, but whenever communists fight, they will win." Not Deng. He realized that he had to face up to this problem if Vietnam was to be isolated. I hesitated to tell this seasoned, weather-beaten revolutionary what he should do, but since he had asked me, I said, "Stop such radio broadcasts; stop such appeals. It will be better for the ethnic Chinese in Asean if China does not underline their kinship and call upon their ethnic sympathy. The suspicion of the indigenous peoples will always be there, whether or not China emphasizes these blood ties. But if China appeals to these blood ties so blatantly, it must increase their suspicions, China must stop radio broadcasts from south China by the Malayan and Indonesian Communist Parties.

Then, after the US withdrew from Viet Nam, communist expansion in Asia was essentially dead in the water.

Chapter 28 America: The Anticommunist Anchorman

Although American intervention failed in Vietnam, it brought time for the rest of Southeast Asia. In 1965, when the U.S. military moved massively into South Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines faced internal threats from armed communist insurgencies and the communist underground was still active in Singapore. Indonesia, in the throes of a failed communist coup, was waging konfrontasi, an undeclared war against Malaysia and Singapore. The Philippines was claiming Sabah in East Malaysia. Standards of living were low and economic growth slow. America's action enabled noncommunist Southeast Asia to put their own houses in order. By 1975, they were in better shape to stand up to the communists. Had there been no U.S. intervention, the will of these countries to resist them would have melted and Southeast Asia would most likely gone communist. The prosperous emerging market economies of Asean were nurtured during the Vietnam War years.

So essentially, the US supposedly 'lost' in Viet Nam but saved the rest of Asia.

Amazing thing this 'book'.

Wow man, I never heard of a "book" before , thanks for informing me.

I would like to inform you in return, that after the Communists took over Vietnam, they also took over an additional country, Laos. The reason the Communists didnt takeover other nations has to do with the internal dynamics of those nations, everything doesn't revolve around the US.
