He has consistently acknowledged that after George Floyd's death, while the BLM movement was largely peaceful, there were instances of violence and looting, which he openly condemned. He has made it clear that some individuals hijacked the movement for personal gain and did not represent its core message--a stance he has expressed on multiple occasions. Additionally, Jeffries has spoken favorably about police officers and their families, recognizing their service and sacrifice.
However, comparing the criminals who exploited the BLM protests with the Capitol rioters is misleading and unfair. The Capitol attack was a well-organized attempt to overturn a democratic election, putting the country in serious jeopardy. If we are going to discuss these events fairly, we must acknowledge their fundamental differences rather than making broad comparisons.
Furthermore, more than 17,000 individuals were arrested for violent acts during the protests. Nationwide, arrests were made for looting, arson, and assaults on law enforcement officers, demonstrating that criminal behavior was actively prosecuted. It is important to separate those who protested peacefully for justice from those who engaged in lawlessness.

However, with federal aid still nowhere in sight, the city has been forced to take matters into its own hands, launching a donation fund to support recovery efforts. The fact that a major U.S. city must rely on charitable contributions for disaster relief is nothing short of shameful.

A sad day for America. Trump's so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" has passed the House with a razor-thin margin, only one vote. Two Republicans sided with the Democrats, while one abstained. Despite its name, this bill is anything but beautiful. It delivers massive tax cuts while ramping up government spending, a reckless combination that will spell disaster for our national debt.
This legislation is projected to add at least $3.3 trillion to our already ballooning deficit, pushing federal borrowing to dangerous new heights. With the national debt currently standing at $36.8 trillion, financial experts warn that continued overspending and tax breaks could drive it past $50 trillion within the next decade.
Think about that for a moment, $50 trillion in debt. This is not fiscal responsibility, it’s economic negligence. If this reckless spending spree continues, the burden on future generations will be unfathomable. America deserves better.

Blaming one political party for an entire disaster is irresponsible. Disaster response is a shared responsibility across local, state, and federal levels. There's no doubt Sarah Russell was irresponsible in her duties, but she was swiftly suspended by the Democratic mayor, showing local accountability.
Now it's been six days, first, FEMA didn’t even show up, and now that they have, they are still assessing instead of delivering aid.
The federal government has also been slow and unhelpful in providing relief. If we’re looking to assign blame, it should go to everyone failing to act, not just one party. The priority should be getting aid to those affected, not pushing partisan narratives.
