Per an Indian channel, Trump is going to force India for some concessions or else!

Not going to war to take Kashmir in 1965 was an Injustice for which we have to pay now.

1962 was the time but the Pakistani leadership trusted J.F. Kennedy's words to solve Kashmir issue after the on-going India-China war was over.
I think India was ALWAYS the preferred partner for the West but the stupid Indian leadership chose and stayed with the communist block's losers for decades. Pakistanis were far smarter and build up the fledgling Pakistani state after 1947 using Western help and Pakistan had been ahead of India for most of the two countries' history until Indians in the 90s finally stopped smoking the pseudo-socialist weed.

Its their only realistic option.

They won't give up the s400, which means no F-35s. The KF-21 is still nowhere near blk 2 which would make it a 5th gen fighter.

This means the only real option is the Su-57, the worst of the 5th gen fighters (and was previously rejected by India because of how shit it was). This is something that would be something that Pakistan wouldn't need to worry too much over, as the J-35A would likely outdo the Su-57 in most combat situations.

This war has shown that the days of dog fighting are over, which means the design philosophy of the Su-57 is obsolete. It's super manuverability is worthless as it'll never be allowed to come close enough to ever make it a viable option, and its stealth is garbage enough that the J-35A would detect it before the Su-57 even knows the J-35A is even there.

As for the s-500, there have been rumors about India talking to Russia about it, so it's probably on the table.
Great insight, makes sense

That being said, in what context would those planes even be useful in?

And they would take forever to arrive

It would be more useful than the Rafale or every single other fighter in the IAF inventory.

The Su57 being a pseudo-stealth fighter, it would give a tough time to pretty much to and make every single fighter except the J-35A obsolete in Pakistani inventory.

Basically, if India can build enough strength with the Su-57, it won't matter if Pakistan has 40 to 50 J-35As, because the rest of Pakistan's fighter fleet would have to flee on sight.

...But then again, this would also be true for Indian legacy fighters, as they'd have to flee on sight of the J-35A. Having said that, India could end up with 2 or 3 Su57s for every 1 J-35A in PAF inventory.

India could also just buy on mass to outnumber Pakistani J-35As to offset the relatively worse capabilities that the Su57 has.

For the Aftab Iqbal fans:

Edit: it was fake propaganda video from India media cut out of context

It's an interesting space and area to watch, big decisions to be made

The downing of the French aircraft kills the whole geo political hedge angle of the European fighter, therefore the invariable fallout of what is now a binary choice of USA vs Russia planes, will also create an additional more stark cost benefit

Just something random, but India having f35s but also having any standing in b r i c s does not hold or sit easy

Or there is the Tejas

Always funny to see Indians talk about poverty in other nations.

Russian planes are out. They've had a terrible reputation since the Ukraine war began, and their market has shrunk rapidly.

With Pakistan shooting down a modernized Mig-29 and Su-30MKI, that space is going to shrink further for the Russians.

I guess then India's only choice is Tejas then. It is after all the only frontline fighter in the IAF that has not been shot down! ✌️ It must be that good!!!
