War is about violence, talking restraint in a war is sheer stupidity.
The more you hurt them, the more you break their will to fight. You spend millions of dollars and years of efforts to build a war fighting capability, once the war happens that gets exposed and can't be used again in the next war, and you'll need to invest more time, money and effort to upgrade it for the next time.
So once it is exposed, why not take benefit and hurt the enemy so much that it takes more time, money and effort for them to catch up with you. Once you have stunned their air force, why stop at 6 and not take out 60 so they don't dare do such a stupid drama for many years.
India started the war with an objective, our retaliation should have the objective to crush them so this cross border bombing does not become a normal, why agree to ceasefire without achieving that objective. There should be no mercy to a losing adversary when they started the hostilities and had a history of doing these things.
