Made in Iran

Dang, just on this metric alone, Iran is light years ahead of Pakistan and a generation or two ahead of even India.
Somebody here (one of us) mentioned that our establishment never took our country seriously and never invested nor cared for our welfare (falah o behbood) spiel.......

I tend to believe that narrative now.

The Pakistani guy here who said this is on da money.

How is this even possible otherwise that our neighbor is progressing, despite sanctions?.......and we regressing bhai?

Makes no sense otherwise no? unless........the establishment wants to reunite with India no? And always did........

Iran unveils homegrown air traffic radar in EUR 6.9 million project, saving EUR 1 million from import price

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian used a video link on Saturday to order the deployment of the MSSR-Mode S radar system at Abadan airport in the southwest of the country.

Authorities from the Iranian transportation ministry said the advanced radar system would strengthen the air traffic control network in the region.

The CEO of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company said that the monopulse secondary surveillance radar system has been entirely designed and built by domestic companies, Press TV reported.

Mohammad Amirani said that scientists from Isfahan University of Technology, located in central Iran, had contributed to the project, adding that the system will be capable of monitoring domestic and international flights within a radius of 450 kilometers.

Amirani said that the government had spent some 6.9 million euros ($7.84 million) on the project, cutting back nearly 1 million euros from its import bill.

“Launching this radar is viewed as a major step on the path to reach self-sufficiency and progress in the country’s aviation industry,” he said.

Iran, like India, invested in education and improving HDI (Human Development Indicators) and are now reaping the benefits. Pakistani elite never developed the country and has only rented it out. This Pakistani mindset must change if the country is to actually grow and be respected in this world.

Iran has been very heavily impacted by western sanctions, else its economy could very much be double its current size. Iran could however do a better job of marketing its products and exporting them.

Mashhad metro is at a similar stage to Shiraz, and Esfahan is a bit behind with only one line operational so far
