Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

It might possibly be PAF since people are claiming that our order was for 36-40 units. I could be wrong too.
The production line of J-10CE has been transferred to Guizhou.
The yellow-primed J-10CE appeared in Chengdu. It indicates that the fighter belongs to the modified test flight.
If PAF increases the order of J-10CE, it should be produced directly in Guizhou, not in Chengdu.

There are two possible situations:
1. This is customizing J-10CE for a new customer.
2. The new batch of J-10CE that PAF may purchase has major changes and needs to be modified and tested in Chengdu.

I prefer the first possibility.
@Deino @Michael What happened to the J-10D upgrade? The one with dorsal spine like that of Block 50/52.
This question has been repeated many times, you can check the previous content.

That is the special version of the Chinese August 1st Flying Team, namely J-10CY. Because aerobatic performances have special requirements for fighters, they made special modifications based on the J-10C.

That is not J-10D, and there is no code for J-10D at present.

Thanks

You emphasized on the yellow primer for CE. Is that not supposed to be yellow?

That upgrade was only for the national display team! for smoke generation capabilities, not operational frontline use. There is as yet no declared J10D programme in China, though if interest picks up for the J10CE, then they may reconsider that.

A factory-fresh J-10CE with the number 204 (most likely cn. 02024) for a yet unnamed customer was shown in the Chinese media.

Most interesting to know would be therefore: Who‘s that still unknown customer and is this at CAC or GAIC?

It may be Uzbekistan. Some military enthusiasts on Weibo said that this order was signed at last year's Zhuhai Airshow and has nothing to do with the India Pakistan air battle. Uzbekistan has sent military personnel to China to fly the JL10 trainer aircraft

indeed, you don't signed a contract and deliver the jet in less than a month.

Not one, but two. There’s another in the back.

Secondly, It should be easier for you to deduce the location given the premises background. Guizhou assembly is the new one right?

I participated in the Zhuhai Airshow last year to observe the new J10CE, and I found that the most significant changes were the addition of multi-purpose attack capabilities, dual belly pylons, triple link pylons under the wings, and various precision guided bombs. I don't think this is the demand of the Chinese Air Force, this is likely a new demand from customersScreenshot_20250603_162325_Gallery.jpg
