40x J-35, KJ-500 and HQ-19 confirmed by Gov of Pakistan official handle in a package of $3.7bn

- Interesting that we are going for KJ-500 and not more Erieye's !!!!! Maybe the Erieyes can get upgraded to ER standard?
- J35 is as expected news and will cause the Bharati's to have kittens soon when they turn up. They effectively neutralize the entire IAF. No more orders for J10CE, shows that the PAF wants to transition to stealth ASAP ?
- I was hoping for some HQ-11 with LD-3000 to protect major airbases as well on the list. I think that is more important that HQ-19s.

I guess with the emerging ADS advancements, Stealth has become more than necessary to reduce the chances of getting locked on.

If that’s the case, PFX might indeed be the stealth light/medium weight, single engine aircraft we need to induct in large numbers.

I Have a very basic question and sorry if it is a fullish question in advance. My question is whether HQ19 is equally potent against fighter aircrafts and HALE or MALE UAV as it is for balistic missiles?

That is i guess fine when we have air superiority using our aircrafts. But thanks for clarifications. Atleast now we have a large radar where we can see into indian territory. But we still need systems against swarm drone attacks as well as for supersonic, hypersonic cruise missiles.

By the way now it brings another issue that if it is solely for ballistic and hypersonic glide vehicle than why we want to procure it at this time? India has no first use nuclear policy and they wont use ballistic missiles? Maybe there was some intell which we dont know but maybe maybe india after our 10 may response was next trying their ballistic missiles conventional like agni 5 etc? And for tackling that from intel we now procuring HQ-19 to deter it?
