Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

The statement by General Kurilla is a stark contrast from the departing American General from Afghanistan (forgetting his name) where he called the Pakistani Army a 'veritable arm of the Haqqani Network' and presumably the HN was killing Americans during the American presence in Afghanistan until August 2021. And what's hard to ignore is that the Americans have pointed their guns at the Deash(ISIS) Khorasan as the name enemy while siding with the Afghan Taliban regime and Pakistan. Plus the effusive praise for Pakistan is going to be noticed by the short attention span Americans in their Committees by a senior leader like General Kurilla. We need to really start connecting the dots.

BTW, this is not another 'we are killing our own people for American dollars', as was repeatedly said by a certain lying demagogue to win political mileage. This is a major shift in American policy about Afghanistan and Pakistan and a re-balancing of policies between India and Pakistan. And it is definitely an improvement for Pakistan.

Why not??
IF the Americans are really thinking of dividing the world into the three 'spheres of influence' as a major article by NY Times reported a few weeks ago then China is the hegemon of Asia, India just another 'market', and Pakistan another investment destination and a more friendly place. What's wrong with that?? Pakistan American relations started to break apart in late 90s as America was moving closer to the Indians but there was a time when Pakistan had greatly benefited from being an American ally (the 50's and 60s).

Absolutly. Pakistan is country of 250m and growing. Stable Pakistan is huge market for American goods and services. You shift some IT industry to Pakistan, we buy more American goods in return.

That 9x smaller GDP vis vis India can be reduced to 5x smaller in a decade.

In my books, all political parties are a huge burden on this state..
not even a word has been uttered by Maryam Nawaz, she just wants to 'conquer' the budget!
and Bilawel just glossy words, if he really wants to show 'outcome', ask UAE royals to open gates for Pak. workers....
and PTI, that has no moral standards to begin with (U turn expert) !!!

we will see, who stands where...... in 3 to 5 years!

Pakistan needs continuity of policies for the next 15-20 years. F the democracy: They are all, I mean all, cut from the same cloth and so why expect a different garment?? But at least the military provides the first, the last and the only line of defense against an enemy which follows the Israeli model of domestic and foreign policy.

Action was already taken against terrorists who killed innocent Pakistani children and decided to divert the water supply of hundreds of millions of Pakistanis, including millions of Pakistani hindus.

More action against these terrorists will follow, saar.
