Nobody was offering us fighter jets. Even Russia gave us a few Yak-130’s like you give a toy to a child to shut him up.

There was no SU-57, no SU-35, and no latest Chinese jets being offered.

I agree Iran needed an airforce and should poured tens of billions into a domestic program along with using Ukraine war to win much needed aircraft from Russia.

Instead what did Iran get for delivering S-136 to Russia? Gold? Iranian government decided to enrich themselves rather than focus on deterrence the last 7 years.

I don't know what's going on in the current conflict between Iran and Israel as far as who is doing long lasting damage and who will have the last laugh. But I will say one thing: I have met at least one Iranian here in America who wouldn't mind Iran being bombed by whoever so that 'our dignity which we lost after the Shah was gone is restored'. It is one thing to ask for justifiable social freedoms. It is another to ask for some foreign powers to bomb your own country. I was shocked by that Iranian lady's response and still can't believe people would stoop so low.

Even with a thousand strikes, Iran's main nuclear research facilities for the most part are expected to survive.

Its going to delay Iran from getting nukes, the research didn't just disappear, just the hardware did.

This was always the case for decades, it won't stop being the case now.

Taking the Iranian perspective into consideration, Khameini needs to make a decision now, not tomorrow, not yesterday, now.

No israel will not stop here. They have gone after their top nuclear scientists as well. They are finishing them off, their relevant infrastructure and human resources. Pakistan is smart enough to focus on its core interests. So it’s China. It’s foolish to be aggressive and fight when one is not strong enough. Or over estimate itself such as the country lead by the butcher of Gujarat.

The reality in the Middle East in the last twenty years is that the anti Israeli forces are prop by Russia. All other anti Israeli forces are supported and derived from Russia. So when Russia is distracted from its war with Ukraine. Hezbollah was emasculated and Assad was destroyed. And the Oct 7 was encouraged by Massad so Israel can commit genocide. Now, Israel is trying to destroy Iran. The anti Israeli forces in the Middle East would be destroyed if Israel is successful. Which look possible. But lets hope Iran can fight back.

As for China being isolationist, it’s only partially true. Any invasion by India to Pakistan will get a response from China. The likelihood of India invade Pakistan, even if India is more powerful or even if Pakistan doesn’t have nukes, will not happen because it’s an issue China view on par with Taiwan. But it will never come to that as Pakistani Air Force is superior to Indian junks and there no invasion without air superiority.

No one having the energy to carry the entire Middle East on its shoulder; not Russia, not the US nor China.

Look at the US, how they do compare to 20 years ago.
