It's called a DEAD campaign. All those bombings you witnessed in Iran so far? They were destroying radars and air defences, the goal? Essentially make Iran blind and destroy its ability to protect its airspace.

No air defence or radars means it can't detect or shoot down anything in its own air space, which means Israel has impunity to fly in and bomb whatever: military targets, nuclear facilities, generals, even civilian targets if they want.

Large plumes of smoke were seen rising near Tabriz airport in Iran in what appears to be a new Israeli strike on the northwestern city, videos published by Iranian state-affiliated media showed.

Israel had struck the city’s airport earlier, Iran’s state-run news agencies said.

Eight people were killed and 12 were injured after the attack, the director general of crisis management for East Azerbaijan province said, according to Fars news agency.

The Israeli military has been targeting Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists in a major attack on the Islamic Republic.

After what appeared to be an initial wave of strikes overnight, Israel continued targeting cities across the nation, including Kermanshah, Hamedan, Qasr-e Shirin and Kangavar, state affiliated media reported.

CNN has reached out to the Israeli military for comment.

Unofficial tallies published by Iran’s state-affiliated media said dozens have been killed and injured in the strikes that also targeted the capital Tehran. Iran’s authorities have yet to declare a death toll.

Iranian drone activates sirens in upper Galilee, Israeli military says​

An Iranian drone activated sirens in upper Galilee in northern Israel on Friday afternoon, according to the Israeli military.

The drone was intercepted by the Israeli air force, the Israel Defense Forces told CNN.

The Israeli military earlier said that Tehran fired more than a 100 drones toward the country, intercepting most of them. This is the only one so far to have triggered a siren.

But Iran’s state-affiliated Fars News Agency denied that Iran had sent any drones to Israel Friday, citing an informed source.
