One thing that I don't understand is, what was Israel's end goal here? This is just delaying the inevitable, and in fact almost guaranteeing that Iran gets the bomb.

I am seeing reports here that what Israel did was a de-capitating attack and that Iran's nuclear capability has been set back decades. Wonder how close or far that is from truth

Frustratingly enough, this is all about Nethanyahu wanting to avoid a freaking corruption case. For real ! This is what is causing all the bloodshed and mayhem and misery all across the ME. He knows Israel is a strategic asset for the US so he is taking full advantage of it as US can neither abandon its 70 years investment, nor do anything about Netanyahu.

Obama hated his guts, Trump kicked him back en route to the US and never met him again, Biden called him a SOB on several occasions and stopped meeting him too. Yet Israelis keep electing him and US has to go along with it. All a corruption trial in the end, one guy causing al this mayhem to save himself.
