Iran's best chance against the USA, is attrition coupled with some high publicity attacks, like destroying a US carrier or destroyer, downing F-35s. Trump's current popularity is at an all-time low, plus the MAGA base is fractured. Coupled with the protests and riots in the home front of US(would be hilarious if IUran supported those), Trump will be under enormous pressure.
But, I don't think Iran can handle the attrition game with US-Israel alone. They better get their proxies on-board, and also secure supplies from Russia, China, North Korea.

Iran should not enter into a direct conflict with the US, their fight is with Israel. Fighting the US openly will be the wrong path with negative consequences.

This is extremely unwise, Trump is reluctant to involve in a war like this, Iran would be foolish to force his hands.

Trump just want to take a diplomatic win in a Iran nuclear deal for his domestic audience. Once Iran actually detonate a nuke Trump will forget about Iran's existence all of a sudden.

Here in lies the rub, can Iran make a bomb or not? This will define Iran's future

In my honest opinion Trump can´t do this any longer meaning declaring victory from this strikes as Iran will never comeback to the table and exit NPT and go nuclear as Israel and the US are incapable of destroying the Fordew facilitates underneath the ground.. Trump can never spin this as victory as everything the US wanted backfired and will leave the table without nothing unless he approves a ground invasion in fact he will be force to do it or otherwise he will concede Iran as NEW NUCLEAR country

Israel threatened to attack Iranian nuclear facilities since the year 2000.

They waited for 25 years for Iran to accumulate 408kg of HEU and large arsenal of ballistic missiles, and significant A2/AD capabilities before finally deciding to strike.

Imagine if they made their strike in around 2011 when Iran had much more limited ability to respond.
