And yes, rare earth is one of the most important commodities out there. Noticed nothing had been said from the Chinese side after the negotiation. It’s likely China wants the US to save face as the reality is that there is no deal. Which means US did not get what it wants.

Remember, Chinese foreign ministry also said that they are not familiar with Pakistan shooting down six Indian planes right after it happened. They just don’t like to brag as a culture.

Honestly, I don't want to upset the Chinese over the comments of one Chinese person who is not aware of why Iran no longer saw China as a reliable partner after being stabbed in the back multiple times, but about the deal, I will just post its main points and I will leave it to you to decide whether it is fair or not:

1. Chinese tariff on American goods: 10%, American tariff on Chinese goods: 55%
2. China will provide the US with rare earth minerals, in return for that the US will accept Chinese students into her universities!

Anyway, we're off topic. I'm here to read the news about Israel-Iran war. Not to discuss China related issues.

The UK have had a presence in Cyprus since 1980s. They moved a squadron of Eurofighters in 2024 to counter houthis and have been engaged in helping Jordan with "counter terrorism" operations.

Looks like they will be repositioning their naval assets and refullers from Rammstein airbase Germany to Cyprus ahead of any "intervention".

This is likely a flex from the UK as part of their NATO commitment.

why not China and Russia coming out and telling UK and France stay out of Iran

that leaves Iran to defat Israel

but Iran cannot defeat Israel + UK + France + USA

that's hardly a fair fight

Well said. I think iran heavily over estimated themselves because of fear the west used to sell high tech weapons to middle east.

Israel will “strike every target” of Iran’s regime, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video address on Saturday, as tensions between the long-standing foes continue to flare.

Netanyahu said that in the “very near future, you will see Israeli planes, the Israeli Air Force, our brave pilots, above the skies of Tehran.”

“We will strike every site and every target of the Ayatollah’s regime,” he warned.
The Israeli leader said his country’s goal was to eliminate Iran’s “dual threat” to Israel, referring to both Tehran’s nuclear capabilities and ballistic missile arsenal.

He added that Israel had already “caused a very severe blow” to Iran’s main nuclear facility. “We hit the uranium enrichment facility which is vital for the production of bombs. We also hit the leading team of scientists who lead these projects. And this will definitely set them back, and it’s possible that it will set them back for many years,” he said.

It comes after Netanyahu late on Friday gave a direct address to the people of Iran, urging them to “stand up and let your voices be heard,” as he cautioned that more attacks were on the way.
 
In the next two to three weeks, the United States will make Pakistan do something we don’t want to do.

Yeah, Iran didn’t plan for this adequately, when they could have seen the writing on the wall, for DECADES now. Now they take their hits as Israeli pgms and coordination is happening with agents in Iran using starlink. P.s. I have met one of these agents, talked at length face to face, a jacked looking guy but a normal guy all the same. It’s not the man but the system that the Israelis have built that the Iranians have not adequately prepared to deal with.

Pakistan should be taking lessons for all this, especially not to let starlink into the country.

Thankfully, regardless of our differences, Pakistanis of all backgrounds, by and large would stand with the army against foreign threats, as we saw with India’s aggression against Pakistan last month.

Why wouldn't they defend the israelis? They are white europeans just like the western militaries/people are.
 
Immediately destroy all regional energy fields if any foreign crusader joins Israeli attacks. Start already to attack ships linked to Israel.

A very well worded response by Pakistan. One nation can't start bombing 3-4 Regional nations (Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and now Iran), this view point was well explained by the Delegate member.

Highlighting actual charter of UN and postulates which govern laws of Self defence
