I don’t believe most Israelis are motivated by Judaism; like much of the West, they’ve grown increasingly secular and non-religious. This conflict isn’t exactly a replay of the Crusades, a battle between Muslims, Christians, and Jews but rather a struggle between a largely secular, atheist West and the Muslim world.

Ukraine: Russia vs Ukraine - entering soon it´s 4th year and has several years or a decade left to go

Afghanistan: US-ANA vs Taliban - 20 years war

Myanmar: entering it´s 5th year and has another decade left to go

Gaza: Hamas vs Israel entering soon second year and will go on for another year

This is the true nature of conventional conflicts in the modern era.
