Yep, Iran was severely screwed by its bad decisionmakers and traitors, yet it can still manage to beat Israel, even after a sneaky attack by Israel.

If the US assists Israel to attack Iran, then with China's involvement, the US will be completely screwed.

If Iran can remove all traitors and pro-west reformists, China will definitely re-ally itself with Iran.

Jesus for someone who nations wrote “The art of war” you have very narrow way of thinking.

Khamenai is from the conservative side, but Iran is Republic which means it’s not one big communist blob. It’s many factions. Khamenai has to skillfully play each faction against each other to make everyone happy. He also has to prevent any one faction from getting more powerful than him (even is his own). This prevents a Julis Caesar type incident.

While Khamenai would love hardline presidents the people of iran tend to lean much more moderate and liberal so people like Rouhani and Pezeshkian and Khatami get elected. The last time he tried to directly intervene in elections was to keep Ahmadinejad in power and that ended in riots that almost brought down the republic! And Ahmadinejad got cocky and bit the hand that fed him. Now Khamenai doesn’t interfere and doesn’t trust either side.

Furthermore, he actually prefers liberal presidents when “negotiations” are going to happen with the West because he can blame the failure of negotiations or the backstabbing on the president and say he was always against negotiations but I have to listen to will of the people.

The man speaks 5 languages and reads many books both western and eastern. He is astute. I might have problems with the way he is anti war, but he is not dumb by any means. Very intellectual.

Yep, we shouldn't overestimate their level of rationality.

When China holds all the cards, the US still tried to bite like a rabid dog.

To be honest, no empire in the history was as aggressive & irrational as them.

China needs to do the same. Nobody in Iran can trust China when all that China ever thinks about is money and .1% more economic growth. The Russians have the same problem with you.
