I have my words here. We have undertaken enough pressure for not abandoning Russia, just like Iran. I personally don’t want China to be called as your teammate, but the fact is what we have done is quite enough to be a teammate.
After all, there is no reason for China to support Russia to invade Ukraine, no matter what excuse you have. When the whole world turned against Russia, even including your real brother Serbia, China didn’t abandon Russia.
Kicked out from Swift? At least you have RMB.
EU no longer buys your energy? At least China still buys.
Being condemned by everyone, even Kazakhstan and Serbia? At least China didn’t.
Inflation roars? Nowhere to import? At least China can supply great goods to prevent Russia becoming another Zimbabwe to add 12 zeros in every piece of Ruble cash LOL.
Yes, NK and Iran look more like allies than we are since they really supplied with military support, but remember, without China’s neutrality and economic support, Russia should have been defeated and collapsed. You could see Russia even dared to extract forces from far east to reinforce front lines, leaving the borders between China defenseless, because of belief.
Yes, you may say all China has done for Russia is just for herself rather than real support, but who doesn’t? If all these cannot be called support, then what would? NK-style? Sorry, we will never be such insane and shortsighted to help you to invade Ukraine.
Putin knows these very well, that’s why he has visited China so many times, he badly needs our support, or at least neutrality. He is the very person wanting China to be his teammate.
Let’s see what we have paid.
Russo-Ukraine war has ruined the globalization, which hurts China most.
EU became disappointed and joined US to sanction China for supporting Russia. Our gain from Russian market is far LESS than our loss from the west, and it will be worse in the future.
I have a similar debate with an Iranian friend
@ShapurII just a few days ago, since we have the similar situation with Iran. Hereby I want to make it clear, China doesn’t owe Russia, and in fact has done enough for you. It is your incompetence and greediness that result in the dilemma, and you should have drowned without our help.
