Israel detects more missiles launched by Iran

CNN staff heard air raid sirens sound in Tel Aviv as well as explosions.
Defense systems are operating to intercept the threat, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement Sunday.
The latest Iranian salvo comes as Israel said it was commencing a “series of strikes” in western Iran, targeting surface-to-surface missiles.

From CNN's Dana KarniIsrael’s air force has started a series of strikes on dozens of surface-to-surface missiles in western Iran, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday.
“The IAF began a series of strikes on dozens of surface-to-surface missile targets in western Iran,” the IDF’s statement read.
The strikes between Iran and Israel continued throughout Sunday. Israel warned citizens across the country to stay near shelters after detecting missiles, while residents in the Iranian capital Tehran told CNN they felt fresh explosions shake the city on Sunday afternoon.
