"Years-long research" lost in Iranian strike on key Israeli research center, employees say​

Scientific research has been lost after an Iranian missile struck the Weizmann Institute of Science, according to employees of the institute.

The institute works on scientific and medical advancements, and its Professor Ada Yonath won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2009 for mapping the ribosome. It has also collaborated with the military and defense companies, including Elbit Systems, a leading Israeli defense company that specializes in drones and naval, land and aerial weapons.

Two scientists at the center, Eran Segal and Eldad Tzahor, said on X that their lab was destroyed by the strike, sharing images of the destruction.

Mor Moria Shipony, a graphic designer at the center, told CNN the labs had been “completely burnt down.”

“My colleagues conducted years-long research and had equipment worth millions of dollars — and now it’s all gone,” she said.
She said they almost considered staying at shelters in the center, “but thankfully we decided not to. Fortunately, only property was damaged, which makes us feel very lucky.”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the site of the strike today, where he stressed that “Iran will try havoc, death, destruction. We will continue promoting life, liberties, civil liberties, and, of course, democracy and the plight for peace as we believe in.”

Israel has also targeted three key Iranian nuclear facilities — Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow — and several top scientists involved in nuclear research and development, some of whom were killed with their families in their homes.

Israel does not expect a shortage of fuel despite Iranian attack on oil company​

Israel’s energy ministry said it does not expect a shortage of fuel, as preparations had been made to secure enough stocks ahead of an Iranian strike on a Haifa oil refinery yesterday.

“The ministry has been preparing in advance, Israel has fuels and stocks, and scarcity is expected,” the ministry said in a statement. “Despite the damage to Bazan (oil refinery in Haifa), no difficulty is expected in supplying the companies with fuels.”
Three employees of Israel’s Bazan Group oil company were killed early Monday in an Iranian attack, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The Haifa-based Bazan, which says it is one of the “largest and most complex energy groups in Israel,” mentioned the damage and employee deaths in the regulatory filing to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The filing says a power plant responsible for “part of the steam and electricity production used by the group’s facilities was significantly damaged” and that all of the refinery’s and subsidiaries’ facilities have been shut down.

Explosions were seen in the coastal Israeli city of Haifa, damaging buildings and setting infrastructure on fire after Israel said Iran launched a new round of missiles early Monday.

Big part of Israelis operations is psyOps along with actual action. So despite their tiny size, they are able to dominate psychologically. So nobody tries to do something against them.

wow .. how are they operating so freely until now, while the whole country is fighting Israel. As of now seems like Israel is making 80% of its gain with these collaborators alone, I have not even seen reports of any actual fighter jets or missile going into Iran from Israel, since last 2 days. Most of it all seems to be these collaborators and their drones/rockets.

Okay, but people do far, far insensitive posts here and are still doing them. I do not see what was so wrong in asking them who stands with them. Its not like I mocked someone or told an uncalled joke or something. I only asked who they believe they can count on.

Since yesterday, I have seen so many people complaining they are being stopped or banned for little to no reasons. To the the point that discussions have almost died here. And this is the reason.

I have been talking to all Iranian members since yesterday and not one had any issues with anything I said. Moderation is fine but if you wanna run the forum on personal judgements and accuse us of being insensitive, then sure, we will all stop commenting one by one.
