The real reason for attacking Iran are not the Iranian nukes. For that Iran would not only have to develop nukes but also figure out reliable, potent delivery mechanisms. It is not that easy to do while under constant watch and sanctions. North Korea's missiles were called 'duds' for a while and they may still be ineffectual as 'nukes'. North Korea's 'nukes' are its artillery and missiles destroying Seoul.
Iran's 'nukes' are its missiles and that's one of the targets of this war. The 'deal' Trump is talking about is removing any Iranian ability to strike Israel even conventionally!

Yep, Israel / US won't bother if Iran would have had an Impotent airforce like Egypt. They are only troubled by Iran's strike capability to hit Israel via its Ballistic missiles. Missiles which were getting advance / faster by the passage of time too. So, yeah they want to get rid of Iran's Ballistic Missile program and completely destroy its nuclear capability. It seems they will be successful to destroy the nuclear program but destroying the BM program is difficult. I think Iran will be able to recover, and even further advance its missile program in years to come. It will take time to recover but doable.

As usual, with surgical precision, this guy is talking about the reasons to launch attack on Iran. China is definitely one of the targets and Pakistan will not go unaffected if this succeeds. That is, if the so-called 'Spheres of Influence' theory that NY Times wrote about a few weeks ago has any merits, in which case, the starting from Pakistan and going eastward to the Pacific would be ceded to China.

I called that relation between Iran and Russia a bluff from the start, but there are plenty of people out there still caught up in their fantasies.

Its not a "bluff". Iran is probably the most respected nation in the Russian geopolitical community. We cant do anything for Iran in the current situation. Russia is engaged in a WW1-like bloodbath against the whole Western intelligence with thousands of sanctions on it. Both the US and Israel knows we cant do anything, maybe thats why they act so freely, Russia is kept away and the Chinese are as useless as always. The "Ummah" dosent exist, the Arabs I dont even wanna comment on them. So Israel and the West can do as they like, like they always did tbh, ever since 1991.
