Why not? Look up how many countries lived under the American protective umbrella during the Cold War and often they did willingly and they are advanced countries with good living standards.
Even Pakistan had greatly benefited from being an American ally in the 50s and 60s, something which the Pakistanis here don't appreciate enough.

Are they? I did not know that. If there's a ceasefire at this point israel will have to back off without regime change or destroying alleged nuke sites so I see it as iran coming out victorious by damaging israeli cities without letting them achieve objectives.
