It is a huge shame for Israelis, how they have been misled by their malevolent and apocalypse loving government. The theocratic elements have obsessed themselves with existentialist national narratives to consolidate their power and assure Israel of endless funding from western evangelical nutcases. This narrative drives their expantionist and genocidal tendencies against so many other people around them. Did they ever stop to wonder: how can every one of my neighbours be wrong but my government is somehow right?
It's too late for Tel Aviv to change civilisational trajectory now.

I remember several months ago, an Arab journalist Ms. Ghadi Francis, in the context of the Gaza war, said something like 'They have collected the worst scums of the world in Palestine, made it as Israel, and convinced them of some ancient rights to the land of the Arabs'.
