Probably but they have missiles for about week mostly and then they would turn away to base for reloading.

SM3's would be able to cover Israel the only problem each ship carries 8 maybe 10 at the high end since these are very expensive. SM6's would only be good for coastal cities but there again each ship carries or leaves port with 20+. Granted is not a fix number but that is the usual loadout of a Burke leaving San Diego during peacetime. SM6's are also expensive so USN relies on their SM2's which is the vast majority of missiles a Burke carries and these aren't meant for ballistic missiles.

Normally OIC is quite functional. It's projection as some military council is humorous but diplomacy through OIC has proven effective in the past.

This war will be hard to stop by diplomacy. Unless US and israel show flexibility. Iran won't surrender as trump was excpecting.
