PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

So you are saying Pakistan is decade away getting J 35 but what about additional J 10C and other new jets during this time frame.

No, I did not say it, I only that my by own standard his (@maverick) claim it will come in 2035/36 is late.

Just to be clear again: I never denied Pakistan will get J-35. All I oppose are claims it will come in 2025/26 aka even before the PLAAF itself has them in service! Per my guess I see - depending political decisions - anything before 2027 as unlikely, but 2028 as indeed possible.

Pakistan was supposed to receive those by 2028 -2029 but there have been reports that Pakistan might get them in 2026.
Let wait for the official delivery date.

The situation isn’t as straightforward as some are making it out to be. Several other defense and aviation projects were already underway or in their early phases, and it appears many of them have been temporarily halted, most likely due to a reallocation of funding to other priorities. We’ve seen no substantial updates on programs like AZM, KAAN, PFX, or PFXX, and even the planned upgrade from JF-17 Block II to Block III seems to be in limbo.

The professionals know what they’re doing.

Not everything should be broadcasted on public forums. If you’re expecting a step-by-step breakdown of Pakistan’s defense doctrine, you’re looking in the wrong place. Some things are better left off the internet.

Also, let’s keep it meaningful, there’s no need to write novels filled with fluff. Take time to read, understand, and analyze the situation before responding and keep it sharp, not bloated. The point here is to exchange informed, concise perspectives, not flood threads with noise.

The recent four-day conflict between Pakistan and India has already sparked deep analysis across military circles, from air forces to defense think tanks worldwide. Everyone’s studying “the good, the bad, and the ugly”, so let’s elevate the conversation, not derail it.
On top of it in association with top folks from China and Turkey....

Being alone and Ahmak are the same...

So you mean that PAF is working on new projects now.

OK i removed all # from that AVIC post on Webio and below is the translation. Clearly, it is all about J-10CE with J-35A mentioned as making debut at PAS 2025

"Before going to bed, I look at the sword by lamplight. Buyers praise! Used ones are all good [cute] Good night. [moon] (Photo by Song Kui) J-35A makes its overseas debut at Paris 2025 Paris Air Show."

As far as the Pak Deep State is concerned, nothing of substantial importance resides in limbo. They are disclosed on a "need to know" basis....

Hi,

Why ask Deino---ask me---I shared with a couple of admins---.

Pakistan already has possession of the J35's---. That is a week---2 week old news to me.

@Oscar --- if this news is true---maybe I still know a little bit more than you---.
It does make sense. I was thinking the same and you added your part into it.

These IAF sorties over Iran are no joke for Pakistan and must be taken very seriously (which I am sure it is being monitored by PAF) and J-35 is the missing part of the puzzle.

Interesting revelation made in the latest edition of AFM. PAF is not the first export customer of the J-35!!!

Personally I’m a bit dubious about this report and related rumour of first customer being a rich Arab country. All rich Arab countries have a history of only buying overpriced western kit mainly for political reasons. Their western ‘partners’ will not look kindly on any such deal and I doubt they have the will to take that risk. May even be deliberate misinformation.

Don't take this post from AVIC too seriously. Most of China's state-owned enterprises have their official Weibo accounts run by freshly graduated college students who have no knowledge of military affairs. They often use American aircraft and warships incorrectly in their own propaganda.

We all know that Pakistan will definitely get the J-35A, but the early production aircraft have some undetectable defects that need to be discovered and improved during use. The Pakistani Air Force is a military that pursues quality. Will they choose to buy the J-35 so early? I think it will take at least until the three aircraft carriers of the Chinese Air Force and Navy have a certain number of J-35s before Pakistan will buy it.

what if PAF pilot is also test flying? this way they are being trained as well as helping in undetected defects along with chinese?
