Hi,

So---suddenly Paf has 50 JF17 BLK3's---and our german boy was counting about 25---. Guess what other surprises are in store---.

Is there some news that I missed on? When was this revealed?

AI needs lots to do. I am in the field and I believe the programmable AI and supervised AI cant do that effectively to me Identity of friend or foe is still not effective to give drones that much autonomy. My spidey sense always believe that 100% autonomy is wrong and some sort of human input must exist. Also the cyber warfare makes it more risky.

I don't think IFF will be that much of a challenge while developing these autonomous smart drones for a few reasons. The form factor and other characteristics of the targets (i.e. drones) are very distinct. A done designed to target other drones will not target a plane either. Having an integrated gun having some flexibility for effectively firing at the target from different angles might be a relatively more demanding task.

Could be bro. However Im in the dept and although others are so sure in my dept on ai but I am not to give them autonomy in context of iff.

China appears to have little interest in the JF-17, particularly after the success of the J-10. As they phase out the JF-17 production facility, why not negotiate a deal to transfer the entire facility to Pakistan’s Kamra complex? With financial incentives, we could acquire the infrastructure to fully develop the JF-17 Block III independently. This transfer would enhance our technical expertise, enabling us to modify the facility for future indigenous projects like the JF-17 Alpha and PFX.

They will have little interest in J-10 soon.
Their fight is of a different nature - doesn’t reflect on either JF-17 or J-10. Just different requirements.

We should persuade China to transfer the complete J-10C production facility to Pakistan, including full technology transfer, while ensuring they retain a share of profits from any foreign orders. I believe they might agree to such a proposal.

Difficult because J10C Pakistan has not share in it's manufacturing it was 100% Chinese product and investment

For Pakistan Marketing the JF17 Block II and JF17 Block III are best bet


However a Production Facility for J10C would make sense under licence agreement

They will do it tomorrow. Just sign the right loan agreement this time at even higher interest rates since your borrowing history is already checkered.

I don't disagree with your---but these will be of very limited type conflicts.

For certain types of drones---paf would need prop driven aircraft

Has not happened. No point in riddles either.
Single seaters capped at 30ish and Block-3 “lite” B models added. Currently in tortoise limbo putting in additional infra for PFX and UCAV assembly.

Nothing wrong with the “halt” of block-3.
It’s very advanced but things change and certain priorities take precedence. Block-3.5 might even be what PFX(even more localized Jf-17) is.

Requirements change all the time - swift retort changed things to Bunyan Al Marsoos and it will change things suddenly again

PAF is still flying mirages f7pgs. Don’t they need to be replaced along with jf17 block1? These won’t be replaced with j10 and j35s. Also what is PFX and when we can see a conceptual design for it?

we can get supply at war time from china but by doing this we will be finally able to produce 4.5 gen fighter all by ourselve. based on which later we can produce 5th gen?

yes based on that we will have immense know how and later we can develop our own indegeneous 5th-gen learning from J-10C.

They will eventually be - but for that to happen scarce resources need to be allocated for production of these aircraft.
Mirages have perhaps one last hurrah left in them - PGs are just cannon fodder or rather focused on anti UAV roles

With respect sir if we get a parallel production facility i cannot think how it wont be good for us? We will get the first hand know how of how a complete 4.5-gen fighter aircraft is made. It will also help us in upgrades that is only our need? Meanwhile china can also benefit from us if we brought some good upgrades to it or installed some good newer weapons of ours?
