Russian Be-12 seaplane drops bombs, review. The crews of the Be-12 anti-submarine amphibious aircraft and the Ka-29 helicopter of the Russian Black Sea Fleet conducted exercises over the Black Sea. The purpose of the exercise is to search for and counter enemy naval drones. In the video, a Be-12 Chaika turboprop amphibious aircraft bombed a mock enemy. The Ka-29 helicopter practiced firing at a sea target from a heavy machine gun. The Be-12 Seagull seaplane was built from 1963 to 1973 at the Taganrog Aviation Plant No. 86 named after. G.M. Dimitrov, a total of 142 aircraft were built. The Be-12 aircraft is still in limited service with the Russian Navy today. At the time of its creation, the Be-12 was the largest production amphibious aircraft in the world. The aircraft can carry anti-submarine bombs, torpedoes, mines, and a total of 24 weapons are used. The Be-12 is equipped with two AI-20D engines and is capable of speeds of up to 550 km/h, with a tactical range of up to 650 kilometers, and a maximum flight range of 4,000 kilometers. Weight of combat load is 3000 kilograms.

Flying boats are underrated but these can be a nightmare for submarines.

In Russia, they have developed mini ports for drones, the Kopter-L01-5 and Eri-Mini systems produced by Almaz-Antey. Such droneports can be controlled both manually and automatically. "Eri-Mini" is capable of working with the famous DJi Mavic 3 drones or Russian Geoscan-801 drones. Drone ports are integrated into the security system and are used to counter airspace violators, allowing the rapid launch of interceptor drones. When using drone ports, it only takes 1 minute to get your drone ready to fly. The droneport is capable of operating at temperatures from -30ºС to +45ºС; it charges the drone’s battery through an autonomous station in 45 minutes. The complex uses neural networks to recognize objects.

The Russian design bureau "MiS", the developer of the MiS-35 hexacopter, has developed the "Guide" system to return the drone to the departure point in the event of a complete loss of communication with the operator. The Guide system ensures that the drone returns to the starting point, even if there is a complete loss of communication with the operator under operating conditions of electronic warfare systems. The system does not use GPS, which can be jammed using electronic warfare, but works on the principles of inertial navigation. In the event of loss of communication between the UAV and the operator, the Guide system takes the drone away from the range of electronic warfare systems, ensuring operation in critical situations. So far, the system only works with the Russian MiS-35 hexacopter.

Russian sappers have begun using drones to clear mines. First, the UAV operator detects an explosive object and determines its type. After that, a TNT charge with a fuse cord is attached to the drone’s release device. The length of the cord is calculated depending on the distance and flight time to the detected ammunition. The drone drops explosives and quickly moves away to a safe distance. Thus, sappers destroy planted explosive devices without risk to personnel.

Checking manufacturers of kamikaze drones in Russia. In Russia, inspections of the work and implementation of the state defense order for the production of attack and reconnaissance UAVs by enterprises in the country continue. The Russian Minister of Defense visited the enterprises of the ZALA AERO group of companies specializing in the production of kamikaze drones “Lancet” and “Cube” and the “Unmanned Systems” enterprise, which produces multi-purpose Supercam UAVs; videos about all drones are on the channel. During a visit to the ZALA AERO group of companies, the minister was informed that the Lancet drones had been improved taking into account their application. New developments have made it possible to link all the company’s drones into a single system capable of effectively hitting enemy targets in an automated manner. The production of drones has reportedly already increased 10 times.
The minister was also informed that the production of high-precision weapons, including Vikhr-1 guided missiles, Kitolov-2 guided artillery shells and Strela anti-aircraft guided missiles, is planned to be doubled.

Personally, I'd like to see Tu-95 back in production. It's much more cost effective compared to Tu-160 and faster to build.

The heavy transport unmanned aerial aircraft of the ultra-short take-off and landing “Partizan” has completed the first stage of flight testing. The UAV is based on the TVS-2MS aircraft. The flight of the heavy UAV lasted 20 minutes at an altitude of 200 meters at speeds from 50 to 200 kilometers per hour. During testing, a pilot was in the cockpit to monitor the parameters. An aircraft with a drone function was developed at the Siberian Aviation Research Institute named after Chaplygin. The Partizan UAV is designed to transport cargo and can be used for civil and military purposes. The Russian Partizan UAV is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system and can take off and land on a site measuring 50 by 50 meters, with obstacles at the border of the site up to 15 meters high. The flight range of the Partizan UAV is up to 1 thousand kilometers, at an altitude of up to 8000 meters with a maximum speed of over 300 km/h, payload weight of up to one ton. As reported, the Partizan unmanned aircraft will be 100% made in Russia. In 2024, it is planned to deploy a production complex and produce 10 serial copies of the Partizan heavy UAV.
