My friend, as a South African, I see daily the ramifications of our nation's decision to challenge the widespread murder and mayhem in Palestine. Our economy is starting to tank. Western companies are starting to withdraw their investments. Our tourism industry is starting to take a hiding. Once we are out of AGOA, which will happen soon, our Rand will plunge and our inflation rate will soar. Many people are starting to question the government's wisdom in taking on the USA. We understood and understand the reluctance of the rest of the world, including the Muslim nations, to take on Israel. Our government did so and is starting to face the heat from the Jewish Board of Deputies in South Africa. Put simply, I will be surprised if the ANC government manages to stay in place in the forthcoming elections. Not solely due to their corrupt character which always was there but mostly due to the regime change which will be put into effect

Our resident trolls here will always deny the complicity and hypocrisy of the west. Every country that has stood for Palestine has been either destroyed or destabilized. It’s a shame when you stand up for justice and human rights you are threatened and attacked. These are the same countries who have also pillaged Africa and ignited civil wars to rob them of their resources. It’s time for the world to wake up and put an end to this. They will eventually have no one else to boycott and will eventually destroy themselves.

South Africa took a stand it felt was principled, not because it was a popularity contest or financially lucrative. One must be willing to pay whatever price is associated with standing up for one's principles.

South Africa shoud declare them as traitors and put these bastards on trial.

They should only be loyal to S Africa or get the f*k out of the country.

Don't pander to these 5th columnists but squash them at any sign of disloyalty.

I hope that S Africa manages the storm as it has done a courageous thing in taking the settler colony to the ICJ.
