Pakistan Air Force | News & Discussions

Hi,

Why did he need to visit---? Really no reason.
Does Pakistan need to make such trips to use as a bargaining card against China? Nope 0% when China knows our economic situation inside out.

It’s the F-16 upgrades

Air Force to Air Force relations.

There is a lot more that goes on above and beyond weapons transfers which aren't in the CAS' purview. Those have to be handled by the Defense Ministry etc.

Joint exercises (Falcon Talon etc.), placements in each other's staff courses, Pakistani cadets at the USAFA Colorado Springs etc. etc.

How often to CAS make visits to USA? And when did ACM Babur make his last visit?

This is his first as the CAS.

There is nothing regular. It's usually when interests or some agenda converges or a new leader takes office, they extend an invite to their counterpart to visit.

A Foreign TV channel was doing a debate on the India/Pakistan clash, the guest obviously some expert on aerial warfare was arguing that while the French have used their Rafales successfully in places like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya but as soon as these aircraft faced real combat they were systematically shot down .
In hindsight Americans were both surprised and happy as obviously Rafale sales were hurting them .

There is an aura attached with achieving one of the most sophisticated long-range kills in modern aerial combat against a peer adversary. It's not something the USAF can ignore.
Hi,

Youngman---it is indeed way way beyond that aura to have a kill at around the 190 KM mark---.

You said it right---the sophistication of the endeavor was beyond anyone's expectations---and more so of the americans who never thought that the Paks would be able to do something like this ( in their hearts they knew what the Paf is capable of other than letting the enemy escape with all fanfare ).
