I'll tell you a cold one:

It is actually a coalition of 9 parties, including the CCP, that is in power in China. These 9 parties include the KMT that stays in the mainland, and the KMT in Taiwan is just a splinter group of the KMT.

There is also the fact that the KMT's chairman, Song Qingling, served a term as China's president in 1968/1972 in place of Mao Zedong.

Another piece of trivia is that the CCP used to be part of the KMT. on April 12, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek staged a coup d'état to seize the leadership of the KMT party and massacred the left wing of the KMT party. Tens of thousands of KMT leftists were killed by Chiang Kai-shek, and the remaining KMT leftists were forced to quit the KMT and continue their activities only under the name of CCP.

one more piece of cold knowledge, during the Anti-Japanese War, CCP announced to give up its hatred for the KMT, and all the CCP troops joined the KMT to form the 18th Group Army and the newly formed 4th Army, and obeyed the leadership of the KMT Central Committee to fight against the Japanese army. Of course, you Indians may not understand what this means. It means that whenever CCP makes any anti-Japanese movie or television production, it is bound to have the KMT army as the main and positive image because the CCP army at that time was also a part of the KMT army.

Do you understand? Since the beginning, KMT and CCP are two political parties with complicated relationship, you have me and I have you.

You know why I'm convinced you're Indian and not American? Because American members will discuss DPP and not KMT.

Americans know that it is DPP who is anti-CCP in Taiwan and not KMT. CCP supports KMT in power in Taiwan.

Only Indians who don't know anything like to talk about KMT.
