How much attach Helicopter are effective in new warfare's, as Drone and UAVs have show there values in conflicts and tested as well these days.

Do army really need large numbers of these now

i think the role change as per requirement, they will be potent front line guidance and surveillance platforms, providing drones and other assets real time picture but unlike other search platforms these would be armed to the teeth to not only take care of themselves but also take out the adversary
 
Oh they are much better, Roivalk is a failed project.
Rooivalk had great potential I admit. PAA had eyes on it for a while but the project was plaqued with delays and cost overruns. Lack of buyers didn't help.

The whole project was dependent on foreign buyers as South Africa isn't that much of a military spender but those order never and by the early 2000s it was already outdated.

Rooivalk is a big helicopter. Similar in size to Apache, Mi-28. Pakistan only needs a relatively small helicopter.
