PAF F-16 | Discussions

Why uae want to get rid of 76 4.5 gen Falcons. They are under 20 years old...very relevant with update to blk61 ....they will be very potent for uae for next 15 to 20 years easily. It does not make any sense

I think we should put the F-16 chapter to rest within this decade. Go all in on China.

We will just have to trust the Chinese that they won't ever twist our arm if we become solely reliant on their weaponry.

No matter how good any country is to Pakistan. going all in on single country will be suicidal in future. We should have different frames. At least 2 different origin weapon systems.

Sorry to disturb, but what Russian would reply us on RD-93 engines for JF-17. Even what about the old engines already in use for block 1 and 2. ?
Sir, this act will push PAF in corner if Pakistan would handed over these jets to Ukraine. I have no soft corner for Russia. Because Russia was always an aggressor in there entire history. But for PAF they are a blessing. With continue supply of RD-93 engines and now setting up MRO facility for these engines.
So we must be careful with supply any weapons to Ukraine, Russia would take it as a direct challenge for them. Thank you.
Are you forgetting that they probably offered india 100+ SU-35s along with SU-57 ToT?

When you have alot of money and get tired of your vehicle after a year use is the case with UAE F16s.

I know but after China who can we really rely on?

Is Turkeys KAAN jet really a feasible choice for Pakistan with it's western engine? What about the chains not strings that will come attached with new F-16s.

There is also some benefit in every jet, SAM, radar and AEWC we operate being able to sync with each other easily.

True. But I believe buy base system from china and upgrade or modify it with domestic products. Engine maintenance facility in Pakistan as well. Until we are fully ready having f16s as another weapon is also good.

Handing off the desert eagle to PAF has nothing to do with uae its all u.s. its an agreement between u.s and Pakistan and when u.s orders the towl heads comply.
1. Block 52........V kits including the easa radar and 120d amraam, numbering 200 missiles.
2. 20 desert eagles including spares and ground equipment and armaments.

But their is a catch......

Ps: CAS has given a list of "other" mostly "ground equipment " that the PAF is more interested in acquiring from the u.s other then the ac.

"Towel heads"

You cannot speak respectfully of others, do not expect others to speak respectfully to you.

After uae positioning during the Pak india battle and their subsequent positioning during the Iran isreal war.
I have zero respect for these khaleejis specially uae

Fair enough, but you can speak respecfully no?

When Pak was on it';s knees economically and UAE kept constantly delaying loan pay back to help us out, guess they were same "towel heads"?

any reason why this time CAS is not interested in f 16?

Agreed, the UAE won’t part with their F-16s unless Washington offers them something substantial in return. As for their Mirage 2000s, the UAE is offloading the fleet, with 23 jets set to join Morocco’s inventory after 2027.
In my humble opinion, acquiring Iraqi F-16s might be a more viable path provided the U.S. gives the green light.
