Fast production is really the answer. In WW2 German U boats sank hundreds of American ships and they kept coming. US ship production exceeded the rate at which they were lost to German U boats.

fast production is part of the answer but not all of it , the quality of what is produced is also important , don't forget Ukraine have access to production facility and the technology of Western countries .
and another important thing is being able to protect the facility that do the production . the question is in which shipyard Russia want to produce the ships ? don't tell me Crimea .
and the last and more important things is doctrines, sending a ship with literally zero defensive capabilities into a war zone an enemy range tell me Russia need more work there
