Pakistan Army Small Arms

Yesterday, Boing 747 cargo plane flew from Leige in Belgium and landed in Lahore. So what’s the big deal? Well Leige is the head quarters of FN HERSTAL. PA is already using their sniper rifles. I don’t think a new shipment of sniper rifles would justify a Jumbo jet cargo flight. Maybe something new, a shipment of SCAR? Zarvan maybe you were always right😉

I remember, a few years ago there were some internet noise associating General Bajwa with Belgium. Youthias were even saying that he is moving there or has a house there. Maybe his visits to Belgium were misconstrued. Any TOT is usually preceded by import of finished products.
Link to this? Which cargo carrier?

There is no link. I followed the flight on FlightRadar. It was an Atlanta Air Icelandic freighter. I should have taken a screenshot.
So a freighter did make a delivery?

I don’t know, all speculation
LGG is a typical tech stop for air cargo flights headed to the ME and beyond. I took a Kalitta Air flight out to BAH as part of a J-V we had with them. Tech stop in LGG for fuel and crew change. Then on into BAH.

should get TOT for then Bren 2 br to replace G3's and just go with optic mounts for the types 56's.

Czechs make solid weapons, no doubt. Pakistan just needs to get over its love affair with German weapons. At least retain the MG3.

Its high time PA starts replacing its old G3s and end its much long love affair with G3 and move on. They need to select one platform and make it standard issue ASAP. We keep hearing about BW being inducted, but don't know when that's gonna happen and there are no news no timelines nothing at all. Having a modern firearm helps a lot and will be beneficial for our forces.

Longer term yes. Right now, facing India, if I was an infantryman in the desert I would take the G3 over the INSAS any day of the week, Reliability and stopping power it wins hands down, would not even choose M4 Carbine for desert fighting

A lot of it has to do with range of engagement. Even now, the studies conducted by the Germans, Soviets, and eventually, the Americans, hold true: Most infantry engagements occur at ranges of 300 meters or less.

The issues we had in Afghanistan was the Taliban opening up at 500M and beyond. It doesn't matter they were using "spray'n'pray" to keep our heads down. Accuracy wasn't a thing with them though when you're on the receiving end, you do react accordingly.

I understand where you are coming at. The larger round is more likely to defeat any body armor an adversary might be wearing. Hence one of the reasons why the US is fielding a new round.

Pakistan in recent years have got J 10 C, AWACS, VT 4, APC, SH 15, Type 54 A Frigates, Babar Class Corvettes, Tabuk class Patrol Vechiles and several other weapons but why like seriously why are we not replacing our dam assault rifles? @Panzerkiel @farooqbhai

Whatever Pakistan does, do NOT adopt the new American rifle. The more I read the more I think it will have a service life similar to the M-14.

We would never, it's way too expensive
