Isn't it about time India acknowledged its armed services personnel.
So with the resounding "victory" that India achieved, don't you think that CDS Lt.General Anil Chauhan deserves "one extra " star?
Also, a *VSM or **AVSM is due to Vice Chief of Army Lt. Gen. Rahul Singh for brilliantly exposing the "borrowed knife " , "one front two adversaries ", "testing lab" strategies of the enemy.
This is something no one in the world ( certainly not the Pentagon) knew😊

  1. Shaurya Chakras due to the Brahmos missile crews for firing 500 missiles and hitting 19 targets.
  2. Kirti Chakras due to the Rafale, Mig 29, Su 30, Mirage 2000 pilots who came back successfully completing the mission ( without their planes)
  3. Vir Chakras to the LOC Border Observation Post personnel who stayed steadfast raising white flags announcing unilateral pre-compliance with the upcoming ceasefire in the face of SH-15, 155mm artillery fire,
  4. Param Vir Chakra.. Hmm here it gets dicey as these are usually awarded posthumously. I guess the S-400 crew in Adampur, and Uddhampur may qualify, for valiantly shooting down all the CM-400AKG and saving the S-400 batteries and cheeseboard radar. Also, a possible female pilot who was the valiant " Valkyrie "of skies, shooting down 6 Pakistani F-16s in a single mission.
Every one of these chakras will be the basis for at least 12-15 Bollywood blockbuster epic movies raking in at least a billion USD.

Now don't you think all the above is worth one measly little star to Asim Munir heading a defeated "insurgent army" ( per Catherine Fair) .

Don't know what the term for Field Marshal is in Hindi . My Sanskrit is rusty ( उच्चत्तम सेना अध्यक्ष?). But CDS Lt. General Anil Chauhan certainly deserves an extra star. Don't understand why the delay

I say again. PAF action to down IAF fighters was masterclass but a flop show thereafter.
If the edge gained was so much on 7th May then it wasn’t capitalised at all. Nothing to show apart from tall claims of bases wiped out and S400 decimated.

Yes agreed but if Paf was aggressive on May 8-10 and went after Indian bases, we would have lost planes and pilots to Indian s400s and you would be complaining about why Paf did such a stupid thing. Sending manned planes over enemy territory is risky and I think those days in warfare are over

They’ve abandoned the Phalcon apparently which is admittedly late 80s early 90s tech and unlike the Erieye not updated on generation .
Their Netra supposedly has much better performance and also more cost effective.
Yet they can’t seem to get serviceability on it beyond launching 2 at best on a 36 hour cycle.

I am not complaining. I agree with the PAF assessment of not carrying out such missions, as there was a strong possibility of S400 coming into action.

There are many kids here, who have assumed that shooting down of few fighters in 7th, gave them the capability to carry out any missions they wanted and should have levelled few IAF bases. They are complaining that this was done out of compassion and restraint. They just refuse to believe that this wasn’t possible and couldn’t be attempted, unless a full blown war breaks out.

Pak did right thing to use other weapons to try and attack Indian establishments. The choice of those weapons seems to be wrong and they didn’t pivot in time to make a mark.

Phalcon was a bad deal. Costly and poorly planned with insufficient numbers.
PAF is far far ahead on this.

It's a funny thing a $5 trillion GDP country ( hunger index 107) is the only G-7 member so obsessed with the past. This gentleman is reminding an ex-pat population of Indians who voted for India "with their feet". 😊

There’s no doubt that IAF received historic trashing which forced them to be grounded for 2 days & even after that, was forced to operate from extreme ranges. But DGISPR claiming 4 Rafales shot, Indian bases destroyed are concoctions.

India lost 4 planes from what can be objectively verified. Anything beyond that requires solid proof from Pakistan. If no evidence is forthcoming, it’s going to be placed under the “things that didn’t happen” category.

Its not a court of law where the burden of proof rests with the one making the claim. Its a war scenario, PAF thrashed IAF and claimed whatever it claimed. Pakistani's agree with that claim, the world agrees with that claim. Period. we don't have to do anything to make Indians believe it because its not the lack of proof that keeps Indians from believing rather a mindset, which we can not fix.
