I get it now. Just like cobra had ranger helicopters for scouting and guiding cobras. Z10 will be accompanied by Chinese scout helicopters. In the picture its z-19.

I served armored core and till today we fear attack of choppers.

You can't ignore anti armored role of attack helicopter.

but given the very capable shoulder mounted SAMs and self propelled systems that can keep up with the armor,flying an attack helicopter or any helicopter over a contested battlefield is extremely dangerous.

It is better to take the armor down from high above using UCAVs and loitering munitions, rather that risk a manned helicopter close to the ground.

Cobras nowadays fly with Fennecs and Z-10s will fly with fennecs too in Hunter Killer role.

Usually it is common for Chinese contractors to decorate with Red Banners/Ribbons when a "First" is achieved for a client.......

I thought we had ordered MMR's (millimeter wave radars) with them? You don't need a scout with a MMR heli.....

Yes back in 2000's old warfare! Now you can use 2 drones that cost less than half a helicopter from stand off distances.

Or, you can send in 4-6 sensor rich loitering munitions worth a few thousand dollars and get the information on target. Lace them and take out some targets by loitering munitions also.

You are right. The pic is of something else then its not for Pakistan.
