Anyway, that was a "old building of the old Syrian Armed Forces regime" and like the "old Mig29s" and various "old AD systems of the former Syria Airforce of the old regime", it "had no military value" so it is ok to "destroy" it, so that some new building can take over and do a "better" job of things.

( that has been the rationale many people have said when the Syrian Airforce was destroyed and i am regurgitating it ).

Salafism itself is broad and shallow, so they can't come out and claim to be madhab like hanafism (they don't have that power and depth), but their true intention is to act as a madhab.

lol no, that is absolutely false and incorrect. Are you even Sunni, or are you a Shia making this up? You can try to make that claim about Wahhabis, since that could be construed as its own newer school of thought, but you can't do that for the term Salafi. It would make no sense, there is no scholar called 'Salafi' that is propagating a new way of interpreting Islamic Jurisprudence, it has always been a general idea used to refer to the notion that one should try to follow the example of the best Muslims we know, the companions. Thats all it is, its not replacing any madhab, those are actually specific established Islamic fields of jurisprudence stemming from great Islamic scholars, the term "Salafi" does not refer to anything of the sort. Instead of just making up stuff, a simple google search would've given you the answer frankly.
